Gorgeous! Wish I could build like that. I'm still learning all the tips and tricks. I love build videos with relaxing music, helps me focus better on what's happening and if I have questions, the comment section usually has answers. At least for me 😊

Thank you so much for your kind comment! I have been playing with voice overs in the past, but I realized that when I watch speed builds, I prefer relaxing music. So I decided to try it! Glad to hear you liked it ☺️

The massive amount of work and dedication you put into your exterior detailing here definitely pays off. It looks absolutely amazing, the perfect, cute little book shop in a beautiful old Tudor-style house! 🥰 You also nestled it into the surroundings so nicely (even though we do not have a matching terrain paint or flooring, which I just cannot understand to this day). In addition, the fact that they still haven't changed anything about the roofing poking through the wall the minute you put a fence inside a house is absolutely outrageous. Is that a design choice of the game? Who wants that? I've only ever seen builders (including myself) struggle with it, and it is honestly sad that we have to come up with complicated workarounds to achieve the look we want. 🤦‍♀ You dealt with it perfectly and created such a nice, bright, cosy interior that this shop would be packed every day if it existed in real life. However, I fear that most would just be taking pictures for social media instead of browsing for books and reading. 😅 I'm glad that there are still some videos left of yours for me to watch when I'm in the mood, and this definitely inspired me. 😁 Maybe I'll use the rest of my weekend for some more building; I've been working on a Baroque hôtel particulier for some reason, but maybe it's time for a little Tudor interlude. 😇

Thank you so much Alisa!! 🥰🥰🥰 Its so funny because you mentioned the two things that annoyed me most while building this 😂 I agree the lack of a matching terrain paint to the surrounding worlds is so mind boggling! And the clipping roofs when we add a fence is just… the stuff of nightmares 😂 Thank you for another wonderful comment! They never fail to make my day! As a Sims player I think they should add allowing the Sim who owns the place live on top bc that would be much easier!!!!But never seem to disappoint keep doing what your doing!!

I also just made a bookshop in the Sims and we totally used the same reference image, haha! Such a funny coincidence! Anyway, love your builds so much. -- you inspire me. Not a lot of people realize the time, effort and talent you put into these creations. Keep it up, friend!! :)

Thank you so much!! That just made my day 😃 the time depends on the build. Smaller builds like this, maybe 20 hours or so? But Rivendell, for example, I worked on and off for a year. I have over 150 hours of footage for it, and I didnt even film it all. By the time I finished, it was way too overwhelming to edit into a speedbuild, hence the tour video 😂

Why did you size down the doors upstairs? I'm trying to figure it out because it looks so odd to me

Hi there! You might have noticed just prior to doing that, I kept trying to add spandrels and fences, but when I did, the roof entered the room. It was a weird glitch due to having deleted the floor. So to avoid it, I had to leave the walls intact and use doors sized down to give the illusion of no walls, then add debug fence objects. So, it was just a build trick workaround to get the look I wanted despite the game giving me grief lol. Hope that helps!
