It makes such a difference to see things done step by step. I get why speed builds are done the way they are but this showed a lot of the situational things that happen while building and how to deal with it -- specifically the roofing process. Great video -- thanks.

thank you for this indepth step by step guide. I can't understand why builders do speed builds. They only show how they did it not how we, novices, can do it. Your tutorials are so easy to follow and I've learned so much

thank you SO MUCH for saying the dimensions of the wall segments you were making!!! a bunch of other tutorials tell you to make a rectangle but don't tell you the size, which makes it really hard to copy! :))

Omg thank you so much! I've been stuck on how platforms work in Sims 4, I'm so used to how easy it was to build in Sims 3! This video helped so much. I don't know why you have to enter a cheat code to move objects in build mode, just seems tedious & unnecessary lol. It should just be active when you go into build mode! 🤦‍♀️Sims 3 is still way better though, you can color anything you want in any color, no pre-selected color that NEVER matches anything! 🤣

The only complaint I have with the build is the upstairs. Because of how complicated the roof is it’s very hard to see what your sim is doing upstairs.

Im a ps4 sims player and roofing is difficult because idk how to adjust one part of the roof, it shortened the whole thing and makes it look weird. Wnd ppl dont make tutorials for ps4 often

Me and my cousin got to 34:44 (we are noobs and we had taken 2 hours to get to then) we wanted a look so went out of build mode. The game then randomly shut- turns out sims 4 doesn’t automatically save builds. The rest of that night (? It was 4am by then) was spent crying and eating muffins. The build is beautiful (,:

This is an excellent video, very clear and precise, and worth watching even for a beginner. The house is very well done, though very conventional. On a personal opinion, I think the dining room is too far from the kitchen, there should be another bathroom upstairs, and the brick front steps should have the pattern rotated or matching the herringbone walkway pattern. There also should be a backyard deck or patio. I would love to see more vids focusing specifically on roofs, stairways and foundations, with a list of some of the keyboard shortcuts, etc. I watched the entire vid and will watch more. You really know building!

Hi, how do you place windows between wall panels like that? I can only place one window on one panel and can’t get them to cross over, and no cheats I’ve found solve this?

Hey I been rebuilding little bits and pieces here and there to make it look better. I play on console not ps5. But why and how did the stairs for upstairs move. I’m so confused 😕. 😂I made it this far. I legit wanted a challenge for myself considering I SUCKKKKK At building in the sims 4. 😂but it’s not gonna be a the exact same as yours 😮but if u can reply that’d mean a lot to me. The one time I tried building this I got mad 😠 and quit and didn’t touch it since. But I am so glad I made it to the roofing. But I’m just confused as to why or how the stairs moved. I put them exactly where u did downstairs lol😊

I'm pretty sure this one is 30x20! I'm building on it and I think it's the right one. The lot from the "modern Bungalow" one is 30x20 too if you're interested.

If you're on PC activate the Sims-3-Camera and then hold your mouse wheel and drag the mouse upwards

In build mode at the top right bar there is a camera. Click that and then click sims 3 camera.

I know this is an older video: but did EA change the size of the stairs? Mine is one longer than the nook allows. I have quadruple checked to make sure my dimensions are correct.

Your wall height might be taller than the one I was using, make sure your wall height is at the lowest setting for this house

I think the same for me because after beginning on the interior and realizing some of the roof was clipping I couldn’t fix it because I guess I made a mistake earlier

click the little arrow thing he says to click and hold square and while still holding square press x and o at the same time, ik it's a little confusing but i hope this helps :))
