We stepped into the dugout on time. The truth is that we did not have time to finish our shelter completely.
At the time of occupancy, we built two living rooms for a total of 50 people.
We also managed to build and run our own boiler room, a shower room with a washing machine, and a hallway that is also a clothes dryer.
For various reasons, we did not have time to complete the construction of our dugout completely within the stipulated time. The main reason is the lack of materials for construction. We only used deadwood with charred pines. The lumber truck broke down and could not deliver the logs to us in time.
We still have to complete the kitchen, sauna and recreation area in our dugout. And we also need to complete the central entrance to our shelter. So We continue the construction of our cozy dugout while living in it.
Let me remind you that our underground log house has the shape of the letter "Y". Each wing of the dugout is at a different stage of construction, and each wing is full of work. Unfortunately, we only have one camera for shooting, so sometimes we don't have time to film the whole process from beginning to end, and it turns out somewhat chaotic and it is not clear what is being done in which wing.
In the final video, we will try to edit the video sequentially so that the construction of the dugout is from the beginning to the end.
This construction video is not staged, it is a real process of building a dugout. People will really spend the winter in this dugout, so the main task is to make it cozy and comfortable.
This video shows how we did the heating of our dugout, how we made the ceilings in the living quarters, placed the beds and bedside tables, as well as how we arranged the hallway with the dressing room. We have also slightly improved the check-in process.
For convenience, everyone has their own bed number, stool, bedside tables, and their own corner in the dressing room.
By the way, during construction, we made some changes to the design of the dugout and added several rooms for convenience. Therefore, the dugout was not 170 square meters, but 192 square meters. In the near future, we will definitely complete and shoot the final result of our dugout. And we will also mount the construction of our shelter from start to finish.
