Fall weather is PERFECT for yummy, filling soups! I'm glad my guys love soups as much as I do, because I make so many of them this time of year. They are just so cozy and warming. Enjoy these 2 soups - I hope you've never heard of them! They were completely new to me and we absolutely fell in love with both!

I'm from Texas & I put beans in my chili!! I use dark red kidney beans though. I just made a big pot & froze most of it cuz it's just me. I love chili & have been waiting for fall to finally get here too. I thought it never would get here. (I'm in Arkansas).

I HOPE you see this. I am 82 yrs old and live alone. Loneliness is something I feel a lot. When I invite you and Hubby into my home almost daily it now changes that for me. You both bring me some joy with your obvious love for each other. Your humor and antics crack me up. I will be making some of your recipes because they look so delish and I always cook big pots of everything and freeze my meals. I am also a Jesus believer like you! God bless your family with health, happiness and prosperity..

My Uncle is 90 and going through the same thing now that he’s on meds that make him dizzy. He can’t drive or leave his home like he use to. He was in his late 80 and still riding a Harley. So this is hard on him plus he never married or had kids leaving just us nieces and nephews.. So I’m trying to step up the phone calls and hubby is driving over to watch car races with him. Plus we take the opportunity to drop off some home cooked meals. It’s why I came by this channel, to find good freezer meals for Uncle Bubba. I hope you find this comment and know you’ve been heard. We still see you and wish you the best.

I enjoy watching you and your family but as I am alone can only make small small meals. I love your biscuit recipes and will definitely try the shepherds pie soup knowing I can freeze it. I love watching you and your husband but it makes me miss my husband more.

I have an excellent recipe for "Chinese Meatball Soup" that I have modified. It's a favorite at my house. The flavor is like Wonton soup but without the hassle of filling the wonton's. You can also add Chinese style noodles but I cook them separately and add to my bowl before I serve the soup. 1 Lbs ground pork. 1 large head of Chinese/Napa cabbage. 1/2 package of shoestring carrots. 1 medium onion thinly sliced. 4 1/4" slices of ginger. 1 TBSP of grated ginger or ginger paste. 1 TBSP pressed garlic. 4 scallions finely chopped separating the white parts from the green. 1 egg white. 2 TBSP cornstarch. 1 tsp salt. 2 TBSP water. 2 32 oz containers of chicken stock or homemade. chicken bouillon and salt to taste. Start by first marinating the ground pork by mixing the white parts of the green onions, ginger, garlic, cornstarch, salt, white pepper to taste, soy sauce, water, and egg white. Mix all together and form meatballs using a teaspoon scoop and set aside. Slice cabbage stalks into 1/4 inch slices. Cut cabbage green into about 2" pieces. Place stock into large pot or Dutch oven and bring to boil. adjust seasoning with salt and chicken bouillon. Add sliced ginger pieces, cabbage, carrots, and cook for five minutes. Drop meatballs into soup being careful not to break them apart. Cook soup for additional ten minutes then serve and garnish with green onion greens.

Both of these soups look delicious to me. I love a white soup! White chicken chili is a favorite 😊 I always put beans in my chili. But not for hot dogs. No beans in that please! Not only do we get the best recipes from Mandy but we always get some laughs too. That is important to me because I am rarely able to get out of the house now so it makes me very happy. One thing that I would like to say though on the subject of your fur baby is that you should cherish Lou so so much. I lost my Emotional Support animal, my cat Sadie a few weeks ago and recently went to the shelter and picked out one that looked amazingly just like her. It was her time as she was such an old cat I know, but it was like losing a best friend, or a body part so I am struggling in bonding to my new cat. Watching your channel and recipes and interactions with your husband Steven even tho he won't do my programming homework for me, well you guys help make things a bit easier. Oh and I AM IN TEXAS. AUSTIN to be exact! I wish you guys could come and visit!

Born and raised in VA and I say SIR-UP 😂 Also if you haven't yet you should try 2 ingredient biscuits. 2 cups self rising flour 1 1/2 cups heavy cream (more or less) Mix flour and heavy cream until you get a dough, bring dough together on a floured surface. Pat dough out to 1/2" thick. Cut biscuits with either a biscuit cutter or knife. Bake at 500 degrees for 15 mins. These are some of the best, simplest biscuits ever. I just had to share. 🤗

Syrup is pronounced like it's spelled - not suryp! I was born a Yankee but have lived in the South for 40 yrs and can't even think of anything to say other than "y'all"!! Are you sure she meant maple syrup for biscuits and not cane syrup? I had that 1st in MS and it is fantastic!! It's not like Karo syrup. Much more flavor. It's part of the process of making molasses.

Your muffin and pumpkin bread look so good. I made two pumpkin bread loaves from Trader Joe’s & I put real pumpkin n the mix, substituted milk for the oil, butter for the oil and sprinkled chopped walnuts on the top before putting in the oven and they were scrumptious!!!! Best pumpkin bread I’ve had in along time!!! 🧡🍂🎃

I smile every time you pronounce the word boil--just like a true southerner! Some folks make it a 2 syllable word but that isn't necessary. 😊

My 11 year old daughter and I watch your videos together. We are both fans. A way to remember cottage vs. shepherds pie is that shepherds look after lambs, so it's made with lamb!

Love your recipes! Y’all are so awesome and a blessing. I love Shepard pie in the fall, I made it with a side of stuffing ( I was pushing it throwing it back to Thanksgiving but I’m like why wait till then? It’s perfect meal prep and lasts the week). I make mine vegetarian/vegan, and it’s soo good. ❤

You'd make most Texans mad by just mentionin' the word "beans" and chili in the same breath! It's "sir-up" & "puh-khans" where I'm from (SW Oklahoma.). Mandy, Steven & Family feel like MY family; Fun lovin' and truly close (& Christian)! Praise The Lord and Pass the taters! 😉
