I may be biased as a Maya, but I think everyone needs a bestie like Maya (or Mya?). I feel like we were about to get a Miranda in Devil Wears Prada type speech about the linen vs velvet chairs. Edited to say: This room is an absolute dream come true. You must feel so at peace and comfortable here! Everyone needs a space like this. We have super similar taste so of course I'm taking notes. I can see how much joy this whole process brought and that's so nice to see!!

I love how you embrace mistakes and find solutions that work for you instead of stressing about making everything perfect. I’m such a rule follower I would have taken the whole bookshelf apart because of that one mistake. Tall book case was a good idea! It’s a different height than your desk and tv stand. It breaks up the similar heights. The orb light ❤😭 The green linen chair was also a great idea! It contrasts from all of the white and brown, and matches the plants and natural vibes.

I adore these lifestyle videos. I just moved into a new (much smaller) space, and I am struggling with feeling overwhelmed working a new job and unpacking/decorating/starting over. It looks so much better now that you have removed the art prints off top of the tall shelf and lowered the light above the green chair. There is a lot of stuff, but you seem genuinely happy surrounded by all the stuff you love. It's definitely a feel-good space. The easy plant worked out fantastically for you and having plants is so great. Lovely!!

Ahh!!! I'm so happy for you! This room is an actual dream! Your videos have both been comforting and inspiring for me to work on getting my tiny bedroom to feel cozy after just living with it for so long. Sometimes it's hard to watch these and feel like my progress on my room is taking forever but clearly this took a lot of time and it doesn't just happen overnight which is a comforting reminder that it will take time but eventually it will get there and it will be worth it.
