Hey guys! I'm Alexandra Gater and I show you how to do rental-friendly upgrades and DIY projects on a budget. New videos every Saturday! Lottie is such a beautiful cat with a sweet personality, she stole my heart😻. I love how she makes an appearance in most of the rooms adding more charm to your lovely home. Thanks for the tour. Your home is just that - A HOME. The wall art pieces are my favorite elements. This tour really reinforces that each piece was chosen deliberately. It's apparent that the process of choosing each piece was time consuming which lends itself to the value of personifying your home. All that is left undone is to experience making memories together. Enjoy.

Noah's office is so bright and cheerful. I'd only paint one navy accent wall, it would be a gloomy room all in navy.

First off, what a beautiful well designed place. Its cozy and comfortable while sophisticated and well edited. Congrats, you did a great job. Now, as far as the fridge goes, I like the black. I think it anchors the black stove and microwave as well as tying in the black accents through out the house. I feel a cream one would make the black in the stove and microwave feel like just something you settled for as the cost of having appliances.

Yes! When she mentioned SMEG I was totally yes, OF COURSE SMEG, but light colored fridge I am not sure about. So yeah,I agree it would really throw off the current balance of black and it would also maybe mean all the green and gold and cream would melt into one color and lose some of the impact of contrast that is present now. So big yay manifestation for SMEG, but perhaps keep it black?

Our neighbor, from whom we buy appliances, says he’d never sell us a Smeg fridge because they are not very good. I love the way they look but trust his judgment. Add to that they’re at the peak of the trend and so a couple of years from now, they’ll look dated.

@@TamarLitvot I was going to get a UNIQUE fridge, because it looks like a SMEG, but when I saw it was not a self defrost, I chose a good old Whirlpool.I am old enough to rmeber defrosting a fridge.What a waste of life.I wonder if the SMEG is a defrost or not...

@@smallhouseinthemeadow6131 I don't know about Smeg and defrosting, but totally agree with you. A manual defrost appliance will never enter my house! Even at my job -- we had an undercounter fridge with a freezer area -- the non-defrosting aspect became a huge problem. It actually started fights between people about whose turn it was to defrost the thing!

Brook linen bedding is really the best. I have other comparable linens, but I love brook linen most. A quick right out of the dryer and they stay just as smooth on the bed. I sound like a commercial, but, they really are amazing! The apartment is just perfect!

I love everything about this apartment. The apartment feels clean and airy and at the same time, very cosy. I absolutely love the whimsical that you incorporate in the design. An example of whimsy that I truly adore, is the bird light fixture in the kitchen (that wasn’t even mentioned in the video). The styling is perfect!

In the end your home turned out just lovely. The carpet to your upstairs is just beautiful. Noah's office is perfect. Every room is an eclectic feel which is my favorite. The most important thing is, that no matter what we think or say is that you and Noah are happy with your space and you are generous to share and grow from your experiences.I've watched your videos from way back when and you have come such a long way.

This is the most beautiful apartment I have ever seen.It is warm, cozy, welcoming and decorated to perfection.The landlord must be thrilled because if they ever move out, he can get three times the rent.Alexandra, Noah and Lottie are a beautiful family and I wish them many years of love, joy and happiness in the incredible home they have created together,

We have a lamp in our kitchen also but mainly is on so that when I wake up for work at 2.30am I have a light to guide me down the stairs without turning main light on which could wake my hubby up xx

If you have your heart set on a cream color Smeg fridge you should have it - but - the black stove, fridge, and stools play off each other and together they make a nice counterpoint to the lighter elements in the room. Your apartment is dreamy!

When you were talking about the litter box and you said "No one knows it's a litter box", I heard (multiple times as I rewinded) "And Noah knows it's a litter box" and I was like... were there issues with Noah confusing the litter box with something else? Wow, I love your apartment, everything is so nicely done. Love the corner seat in the kitchen by the window. The island is so nice to have, and the color is so nice. Living room window is so neat with the glass above, and the little deck must be so nice to have. Bedroom seems like a nice sanctuary and the office is so nice with the storage, relaxing chair and book case and the desk is is nice, really liking the adjustable height desks.

Your apartment is absolutely lovely. It had such great bones and you made the most of every room. I was surprised there wasn’t a rug in the bedroom though. And I agree about painting Noah’s office (or maybe an accent wall) a darker color to bring out the colors of the beautiful rug. Well done all around!

I absolutely love your home, and I’ve really enjoyed watching you transform it, room by room. 🥰 I really like how you made due with what you had in your living room makeover and changed your current TV console to fit the design idea that you had. It’s so relatable to our own spaces. We dont always have the money to buy all new things for our homes when we want to switch up a room. If you ever have the chance to get that other console table you picked out though I would go for it. It was beautiful lol. Love your channel!
