My absolute fav cozy romantasy books is Hanna Sandvig's Faerie Gate series!! It's the cutest, most wholesome series & I truly couldn't recommend it enough!

You should definitely check out Priory of the orange tree… dont let the page count scare you, the drama the romance, the fantasy even the world building is amazing. It blew me away ✨❤️

This was perfect because this is the exact type of tbr I’m building for summer! I started Half a Soul and am loving it and I’m going to put all the other books on my tbr too 😂

If you want cozy romance with a bit more substance I'd highly recommend Laura Wood. She writes YA historical romances+coming of age stories. Her books are so lovely and cozy but also tackle some deeper issues. She has 2 books that are set in summer that are perfect for this time of the year. A Sky Painted Gold and Under a Dancing Star, the first one is set in the 1920s Cornwall and it has major The Great Gatsby vibes and the latter one is set in the 1930s Italy and that one's a loose retelling of Much Ado About Nothing. I think you'd adore both of these! 🥰🥰✨

I wanted to mention I've been really struggling with reading a whole book lately and got a kick in the pants by trying out the Once Upon a Book Club service--did a short video on that. Actually finished a whole book! But some of the titles you mention sound just my speed.

I read Edenbrook last summer, and really enjoyed it! I'm not a big fan of romance generally, but I do love the old vintage Victoria Holt historical gothic/suspense romances in the summertime. They have gothic elements (large crumbling castles and manors, heroines in distress haha), but are still very cozy, wholesome and fun!

I just finished reading Flowerheart by Catherine Bakewell and I highly recommend for this genre! It’s a cute whimsical fantasy romance (young adult so no spice) with cottagecore vibes but also talks about really important issues surrounding mental health

This was exactly what I needed, thanks so much for all the recommendations!! 😍 Also, you’ve reminded me to read Howl’s Moving Castle again, because it’s been about 15 years when I last read it, and back then I was too busy comparing it to the movie (and pointing out all the differences I didn’t like lol) to really appreciate the book. I’m excited to give it another try 🥰🤎

I had just added this to my "to purchase" list last night, so that's great to know! I love historical fiction that's realistic to the era it's set in, but from a feminist perspective so the description for this book really drew me in.

I love this!! I’ll definitely be picking up the manga, I love whimsical and wholesome books 😊 have you read A Lady’s Guide To Fortune Hunting? I just read it and it’s really similar to pride and prejudice, it made me laugh and it’s set in London. The writing is more modern like it’s easy to read but it still uses like the proper ways that they would speak. I think you’d like it 😊

It’s so sad because Howl’s moving castle is one of my favourite books ever but I just absolutely despised Emily Wilde’s Encyclopaedia of Faeries, I literally gave it one star today on good reads 🥲
