This video shows Canadian Pacific Railway's "Royal Canadian Pacific" in the Rocky Mountains of Alberta. The video starts with the RCP at the Banff station, then follows it east as it proceeds toward Calgary. There is a nice pacing sequence and the video ends at Seebe, a bit east of Canmore. CP 1401 was the lead locomotive for this train.
This video was uploaded by Steve Boyko after David's death, on the request of David's widow Pat. She wants to share David's work with everyone. This video was part of the OBE video "Canadian Trains from the Atlantic to the Pacific Volume 1". Apologies for any errors or omissions in the captions.
This video was recorded using a camcorder on VHS videotape and then digitized, so the quality is not as good as David's later work.
