Traffic in downtown Toronto is expected to worsen as track work on Spadina will force the TTC to replace streetcars with buses for the remainder of 2024; a battle is brewing between a small corner store near Ossington and the City of Toronto over the right to serve coffee and baked goods; and, criminals are now ordering expensive products to your home and then stealing them in a new kind of porch pirate scam called 'double decker'.

Its decisions like this that cause drivers not to want to take public transit. So they'll sit in the parking lot of city streets instead. This city is run so poorly its an embarrassment.

just watch, street cars dont pull over to the curb to pick up passengers, buses do this will speedup traffic like spadina has never seen. when the street car stops it kills 2 lanes. get rid of these trolleys

@@tomgelfand2685 Ok that's a fair point. But one street car can hold the equivalent of 1.5 busloads. And they are far more comfortable to ride in.

11:28 What a joke.... meanwhile, these batteries are worse! We just don't see it much up here because the lithium and whatnot are mostly harvested in Africa. Toronto company Avalon Advanced Materials Inc. just opened a lithium processing plant ON LAKE SUPERIOR. This is very bad for Canada's fresh water.

Downtown Toronto, the Achilles heal injury that keeps giving insult to the rest of amalgamated city . It cries , it roars , it pouts. All of City Council including the Mayor solely focus their attention to it at the exclusion of the rest of the city. Blessed with a multitude of transportation options to travel to and within, people cry like babies if they aren’t bright enough or too lazy to figure an alternate way to move around. Something that resident’s outside of the downtown core do not enjoy. City Hall faces south, the back of City Hall has no view of the vastness of the rest of Toronto, giving a warped view of reality and it shows. Lip service being the only attention paid to very real inequalities and standards the downtown core feels entitled to. 🇨🇦✌🏼🇨🇦✌🏼🇨🇦🤨

People complain if the system goes down, people complain if proactive measures are taken to fix the system, and people complain if nothing is done. People will always complain no matter what.
