XMP is a predefinded profile, you should be enabling it through the xmp option (your bios showed disabled. You just changed the memory speed. Youd get even more performance with the correct timings etc

noticed that too. mr rabid needs to look at the video description and check what he actually showed us. also generally socket am4 is a bit fussy with ram in my experience. ghostrider optimisation = easy . randomx optimisation = not so easy. for me on my rigs for randomx - always enable xmp BUT generally cannot run the ram at full speed - it wont work. (thats an intel/amd thing) . then you are into infinity fabric . . . it gets a bit complicated. short story for randomx enable xmp. but dont get upset if the ram wont run at its rated speed - run it a bit slower - also i put a bit more volts into the ram on am4. a tiny bit more. im sure i put vids on this stuff years ago on my channel regarding monero. also there is the ryzen dram calc thing. this short story has got very long. i need to do another video for all the great crypto miners out there. ryzen 3600 - still the best budget option by far in the uk. ryzen 3600 plus b350 plus two sticks of 2800 ram run at 2400 with xmp gets you over 7000 randomx and its easy to cool. and i didnt tune the ram

all im doing now is replacing busted cooling fans on gpus that did dual ton/eth mining then dual eth etc/kas mining. now none of my cooling fans ever go over 75% so that they hopefully will last a very long time. also screw chinese replacement cooling fans- they break in a week. not gonna say how im cooling the gpus . cos you lot will buy them all up. are we ready for the bull market? i am. maybe

@@RabidMiningyeah it will work, but the xmp profiles are optimised for the timings of your specific ram sticks. Might not make a lot of difference in the end but they are there for a reason :)

Did you clear the CMOS on the rig that wouldn't boot with both sticks of RAM? Make sure to always do that when you have problems with booting into BIOS. Also been on ZEPH for a bit, got 23 ZEPH. Been mining it for a couple months.

Hashing same thing you do. Smaller sticks 2x4gb = best performance tightest timings as well. Great content as always.

I'd pull the battery from that 3900x rig that won't post with 2 sticks, touch the pins for 30 seconds and try again. If that doesn't work maybe the bios itself is a bit messed up. I'd update to the latest bios, should help.

Wow, did test one of my 3900x was at 10kh and now 13kh.... will need to order more ram, also tried 2400mhz ram and xmp or not doesn't make a diference on those one.

Try curve optimizer negative 30 on all cores. I get 0.8khs more with same wattage on a 5950x.

Have you tried undervolting the ram? Xmp settings usually will allow it, because the timings are usually pretty loose. If it wont boot with 2 sticks, sometimes SOC voltaga @1v, max 1.05v can help.
