As for why incineroar knew how to recover but others didn't: CPUs are programmed to recover only when not in free/special fall. Because Incineroar's up-b does not put him in special fall, his AI told him to do it again until he grabs ledge or lands on stage.

My theory as for why Incineroar “cheated” was because of special fall. Characters that normally have special fall on their recoveries usually just fall down. I think that the CPU just follow that norm and they think that they can’t do anything. Characters like Incineroar don’t have special fall on their recoveries, so, they know that they can act out of it.

I currently live on Long Island and we only got Tim Hortons down here recently (yes, certain states in the US have Tim Hortons; Michigan, Pennsylvania, Maine, West Virginia, and Ohio have them too). You have every right to say it sucks. I mean, they were bought by Burger King in 2014, and if you know anything about how bad Burger King’s quality is in the US...then you know just what happened to Tim Hortons. Also, banana Laffy Taffy is THE BOMB. Used to get lots of them whenever I stopped at the little Wonka shop at the now defunct Toys R Us Times Square flagship. That place had everything from an indoor Ferris wheel to an ice cream shop and a T-Rex animatronic...it was heaven for every kid. Truly the greatest toy store.

The reason Incineroar could cancel up B and not Mac is probably because Incineroar's up B doesn't put him into special fall- It just disables him being able to use up B again until he touches the ground/ledge, which doesn't apply in turbo so he can do it again. The CPU knows it can do more after up B'ing but normally cannot use up B again yknow- hypothetically.
