Norm... *From an alcoholic (your age) who’s got 21 years no drink. **Don’t take this as me speaking down to you. You’re in the process of yet another miracle. You’re sober today. You’ve got EIGHT DAYS! Congratulations. You’ve begun recovering . You’re in the right frame of mind right now and right now you mean every word you’re saying. So...we both know that feelings change. Triggers come. “Fuck it-s” show up out of nowhere, so take it slow. Don’t let the KZfaq “fame”, LOL get you. One day at a time, brother. You know your shit, which might make it even more challenging, dig? You’re quoting the right book...We both know that. So from me to you, I’d keep the, “cunning, baffling, and POWERFUL” part at the forefront of your mind. Don’t use. GO TO MEETINGS. Keep these vids the uplifting types they’ve been. Mark has plenty of the other kind. Much love, and... ~RESPECT~

Theres an every day fight to say no I will not be that person and I will not do this to myself again. Not even once entertaining the thought of it,the mind is the hardest place to defeat an addiction. We seem to talk ourselves into thinking we are strong enough to handle just one time won't hurt. Telling someone what you've been through and seeing that you are accepted,loved,and given the boost to do better is the best thing ever.❤You are an amazing man and I know you will do great things.❤Keep up the great work that you have started.

I love this! This interview was one of my favorites and I've seen just about every interview you've uploaded and his has by far been one of the most compelling. Sometimes sobriety begins with simply feeling like you matter and it can happen by reading positive feedback from strangers. You are not alone! You matter and you are important. Beautiful interview the first one I absolutely loved your honesty.

Mark and Norman you are examples of why people are brought together. You are both two humble beings who are used as vessels to shed light on the darkness with love and compassion. When I saw this update I literally dropped what I was doing, watched it and started to cry. This video reinforced to me the power of a positive few words and what can be accomplished by thinking of others. Please keep these updates going!!! Norman my love, you have fallen into grace, not fallen from grace. I will never stop praying for you and I gain soooo much empowerment from you. You and Mark are Kings and I am sending all kinds of loving energy to the both of you!!!!🥰 The "mother" quote also needs to be a t shirt!

@@strictlycasual765, respectfully, I disagree. Putting failures in the past, even if they happened moments ago, is setting one's path forward and ahead. Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) will confirm this comment, even with a passing understanding of it. To recover is not to deny the truth of the past, no. But there's no benefit to *dwelling* in the failures of the past. Norman is forgiving himself, and that is freeing him for lots of happy potential.
@urbanmari
@urbanmari 3 жыл бұрын
@softwhiteunderbelly, Yes, please title Norman's interviews going forward with "recovering addict" now, and "former" as Norman feels ready for that, down the line when using is so far in his rear view mirror as to be a lifetime ago.

Oh my God, Norman. I was so touched by that interview. I googled your name because I wanted to find a way to contact you and tell you that I could feel you. That I loved you. You are so beautiful. I wish I could tell you that in person. Mark holds space for people and I think it's healing. Healing to be seen to be truly heard not judged For sexual trauma, especially for a man, please listen to Tim Ferris blog his recent post on healing sexual trauma. It will possibly be a part of your tools in your tool chest to help yourself and others. It's often in the helping of others that we find our finest healing. So happy for you. I even did a drawing of you! My baby sister is threatening to kill herself and she's so lost. I have tried and tried to help her and have failed. I watched so many of Mark's interviews and it's been helpful. I've been through my own bot of sexual trauma. Living in this capitalized greedy world is traumatizing. Follow your heart. You're a good man, Norman 💙
