Las Vegas Vice Detectives conduct a sting. The first woman claims she is only looking for her sister. The second woman is a young mother new to town but already has warrants. Santa Ana Officers stop a known prostitute helping a disabled man who fell down. The woman proudly proclaims that she has quit her previous lifestyle, and her friend says she has a heart of gold. Cincinnati Officers spot a couple in an abandoned car and find the man's pants unbuttoned and crack scattered around the couple.

I have a friend I met in 7th grade. I’m 60 now. She died a few years ago after spending her life in prostitution and heroin. What a horrible life she had. I miss her. She had chances to change but the drugs had such a hold on her. She chose drugs and took the short cut to death. Please if you’re stuck in this lifestyle for any reason, you’re more important than this. Get help. There are people out there whether friends or family who love you. Even if you have no one, people care about you. Don’t throw your life away. EVERY LIFE MATTERS!

In the Netherlands where I live, prostitution on the street is not allowed. Not because it is forbidden, but also for the safety of the women. Most of the women working in the prostitution are victims from human trafficking. The real target of the police are the street criminals like the pimps (pooier) and the drug dealers.

Of those rescued, 103 were unaccompanied children.[41] In June 2022, over 51 aliens died trapped in an abandoned trailer in San Antonio, Texas.[42] According to a Florida Grand Jury Report, unaccompanied alien children are not DNA tested at the border to see “if, in fact, they might be an adult with a criminal history or if they are truly biologically related to either their putative parent or a proposed sponsor.” Lack of DNA testing at the border contributes to child recycling, sex trafficking, and labor trafficking of vulnerable children. Mayorkas’ failure to implement stronger vetting processes through DNA testing at the border has put thousands of UACs in harm’s way.[43] UACs encountered at SW border 2010-2023 Trafficking of Children Over the past two years, HHS and DHS have lost track of 85,000 UACs. The NYT report led to several members of Congress demanding an FBI investigation into HHS and DHS for their role in the UAC disappearance.[44] It is highly likely that many of these children were trafficked for cheap labor, sex, and other exploitative reasons. Without sound policies at the border, Mayorkas has rendered DHS unable to ensure the safety and security of vulnerable minors.

But that said, cartel violence and the crime in Mexico overall has nevertheless still actually decreased a relative amount since 2020/2021. Also "human trafficking" is not the same as "human smuggling". Human trafficking is sort of a misleading term because it basically just means captivity.

This operation specifically targeted criminal aliens convicted of drug trafficking or drug possession-related offenses involving methamphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine, heroin, or synthetic drugs. The operation took place in major cities nationwide and more than half of the targeted suspects (216 of 419) were successfully arrested. Together, these criminal aliens had a combined total of 456 convictions, including sex offenses. Over 100 of the targets had been previously deported from the U.S. and illegally returned. In announcing the raid, ICE officials emphasized the importance of detainers in immigration enforcement. A detainer is a request made by ICE to local law enforcement agencies, asking them to hold the subject in custody until ICE personnel can arrest before release. As Acting Director of ICE, Patrick J. Lechleitner, described, using a detainer allows ICE to arrest criminal aliens in a controlled environment.
