Cracking up a Neighbor

  Рет қаралды 95,007

The People's Court

The People's Court

Жыл бұрын

The plaintiff’s neighbor hired the defendant’s company to trim his trees, and the plaintiff claims the company illegally parked their heavy truck on the plaintiff’s driveway without his permission. The plaintiff alleges the defendant damaged his property, and he’s suing for the repairs. The defendant, a tree-trimming professional of over 40 years, insists he’s not responsible for the damages.

Defendant was a DICK that just uses his BS to get thru his problems. His Goose was cooked when he said he had permission to put his equipment on the drive and then said it was never there and when the Judge called the BS out he wants to clarify!! Trying to play word games with any Judge just is a bad idea!!

I love when JM catches a litigant in a lie. The defendant had so many different stories in his head and what he wrote down for the litigation that he could not keep them straight. The lies also contradict each other so it was fun having JM ask him questions to cause him to back pedal and get in deeper shit.

How is the defendant going to say that the decision was based on fantasy, imagination, and greed? He also says that the decision wasn't based on any facts? Really because I saw the exact opposite! The plaintiff provided actual evidence by showing the pictures and when the damage was caused, he also brought in multiple estimates on what it would cost to have the damage fixed, it's not like he brought in one estimate, he brought in multiple estimates, so I think it's the defendant that is living in Fantasyland and imagining things!

@Anthony Harrichan Another perk, at least for when we were called by Judge Mathis was a free trip to where the show is being filmed......Chicago in my case. Unfortunately, the defendant didn't want to be made a fool of on national TV and we ended up in small claims court anyway which made it much more difficult to collect. We were able to garnish wages and collect, but if the plaintiff didn't have a job, we would have been SOL.

Marilyn is becoming another Judith and frankly 1 Judith is 1 too many. Honestly, that show shouldn’t be on anymore either. She clearly can’t do it on her own, so they gave her a new show where she has 2 assistants. They literally have to remind her of things she said 1 minute prior. She’s washed up. Old age has not been good to her. She is the biggest hypocrite and most disrespectful person I have ever seen.

6:31 So glad the judge told him to not use racist language so casually. I’ve seen her do that in other episodes too, when people say something that’s disrespectful to a specific group. And she never makes it huge, it’s just enough that she calls them out without changing the focus of the case, and it’s important that she does both. It makes it more normal to quickly correct something and move on.

the plantiff really has a driveway issue because if he had it repaired after the google maps pictures and it was already cracking again, there is an underlining issue. those trucks in the picture are not that much heavier than a full size pickup truck. also it is common for tree trimming companies to get permission from neighbors in case they need to be on others property while trimming if the tree is that close to the property line. just because they get permission doesn't mean they have to use it. it's just in case they need to. to insure the best way to get the job done.
