Dear Sherry, you have saved my sanity. I have been making lots of the wallets for gifts. All of them cracked. I learned to hide the cracks with washi glued on the edge of the spine. But, it wasn’t what I wanted. So, thank you! You are the reason I smiled today. 😊

Oh my goodness, that makes so much sense!! 🤦🏻‍♀️ Now that you have explained it. I’ve had some of my favorite papers crack, anywhere from not really noticeable to the Grand Canyon of all cracks! I’ve wanted to say bad words, throw everything in the trash, and even tell myself that I’m never making another notebook/journal etc. Thank you sooo much for this video!

What a wonderful idea. I use thick paper too, but I spritz it with water and wait a few minutes to soften the heavy paper. Then bend the fold several times. The downside is that you need to wait for the paper to dry before going on to the next step. I like your idea better. Thank you.

Wwwooowww, I'm amazed! Such a little change, and it makes a big difference! Thankyou so much for showing us! This has happened to me a lot. I had to redesign to cover it up and it now looks beautiful. But as someone else said, it wasn't my original plan. I did learn through it though that it is an opportunity to try and think outside my perfectionist box.

Thank you for this! I sometimes would cover my cracked spine with another piece of paper, overlapping the front and back by about 1 1/2" or so. Sometimes it worked, sometimes not. I can't wait to do it the right way now.

I love this tip. It will help so much when I'm making my books. I also found that using the 5-in-1 tool helps a little too. It's about the same width in spacing that you showed and I haven't had any cracking yet. Thanks so much for this video. See you in the next one!🥰
