I've always admired how Jet Li allows his opponents to become aggressive, angry, violent and sloppy before he counterstrikes. It shows he has composure, focus and control like a true martial artist because a true martial artist knows the style and skills are a way of life meant only to defend and protect and that being the cliched "epic/hardcore badass" has NOTHING to do with it.

IMO. To this day. The Octagon Scene was the best. Stunt Coordinator Cory Yuen out did himself. Getting the top fighters from UFC. That was the greatest Fight Choreography ever done. The likes of Tito Ortiz Randy Couture & Chuck Liddell. Simply the best

This is a great movie but one thing I wonder when I watch it, that as demonstrated by the first two scenes shown here, Jet fights with one hand in his pocket. It's funny how people confuse Jet Li with the 'character' he is playing. I'm a Jet Li fan but he would get whooped by several if not most of the fighters in the cage (I only know a few of them I'm sure some of them are just stunt men). Take another movie that Jet and Randy Couture were in. The whole cast of The Expendables agreed if they all fought there'd be a pile of bodies and Randy would be sitting on top.

@The legendary procrastinator I mean it doesn't take an expert to know that the former UFC HW and LHW champion of the world is going to be able to beat up a bunch of actors with limited martial arts experience, most of whom he shares size parity with or is larger than. Through MMA we've seen that without the core foundation skills of boxing, kickboxing/MT, BJJ and Wrestling to build off of traditional martial arts aren't competitive in MMA. They can add deadly tools to guys with those foundational skills but on their own they don't hold up.
