Man Ashok is one of the sickest, most underrated guitar players out right now. His work with Root from Czech Republic was killer. So glad to see him in Cradle.

It's too bad he messes up so often playing live with CoF in favor of posing and messing around. I'm sure he's a good player and nice guy, but he makes disruptive mistakes with the most simple parts. - I don't understand, cause clearly he's experienced.

I use the 002 Gold (the Marshall JCM900 simulation) with the Cab Simulator on. With a Tube Screamer in front of it, it sounds great direct. Although these 50/50's sound really tight without a Tube Screamer or overdrive pushing the front end.

The right tone is what works for the track. Usually a bedroom guitar player tries to emulate a full mix sound with only a guitar and a bunch of pedals and then putting that sound in a band context your guitar part gets lost. You want to be heard and having more mids is the way to go. Everything else is tweaked to taste
@wigon
@wigon 5 жыл бұрын
What this goes to show is that if you can get a similar tone that's "close enough" regardless of amp or preamp or plugin, then it's all a matter of one's playing style and "finger tone". What equipment is used is secondary to that.

I have the fifty fifty and the fried mien and both are kickass, the shared eq knobs are hard to use if you really want to be able to use this as a 2 channel pedal. I just wish they would change that design to 2 level potentiometers instead.
@TannerSidetrax
@TannerSidetrax 6 жыл бұрын
I was under the impression that the channels on the pedal recall the last settings before the channel was switched, so if you set the gain on the clean to 5 then channel switch and change the gain to 8, when you switch back to clean the gain will be set to 5 until the knob is moved again. Not 100%, but i heard it in another review somewhere
@ayeapprove
@ayeapprove 6 жыл бұрын
That is correct and working as intended, but if you mess with the settings you kinda have to figure out what the other channels settings were before to tweak it. it would have been awsome to see them use push pull potentiometers.

Try to plug them straight into the FX loop return of your head and make sure to turn off the built-in cab simulation. That's probably the best way using them in your setup. Or just plug them in a PA / audio interface (with the cab sim ON of course) and use them without an amp. //cheers, Kris
