Cradle of INDIAN TEMPLE Architecture: Aihole & Pattadakal | Places to visit near Badami, Karnataka

We traveled to Badami, Karnataka for Independence day long weekend. We also visited Pattadakal and Aihole which are temple complexes near Badami. Aihole is the oldest temple complex, where Chalukyas perfected the art of rock-cut temples and later built beautiful temples in Badami and Pattadkal. It is rightly said that Aihole is a school of Indian temple architecture, Badami is a college and Pattadkal is a university, together they are the cradle of Indian temple architecture. A beautiful blend of northern and southern temple styles, Pattadkal is a UNESCO World Heritage site. We traveled to these places using public transport- Karnataka state buses and sharing auto-rickshaw. For Badami cave temples and other places check our previous vlog!

PATTADAKALLU Means The Place where All Chalukya Kings Made there "PATTABHISHEK" or " RAJYABHISHEK" Cermoney in this Place... So its Called Pattadakallu....

Aap ko travel vlog kafi ache hote he specially aap public transport se jo traveling krte ho vo mujhe jyada pasan he. Cz majority people not afford to travel in private cars and all. So I like the way you travel all locations ☺️

Good video. Pattadkall, Durga Mandir, heritage site combination of South n North culpture are attractive. Off n on there was audio problem. After all, you Paresh n Vijaya are rendering us fantastic videos of various corner of our country n foreign strand. Thanks a lot.

I like your vedio after sawing your trip we r planning for badami and hampi so I want to know about taxi availability in badami . Is it easily available?

Auto rickshaw was easily available as we found in Badami. For taxi we are not sure, we would suggest you to call your hotel in Badami. They will arrange surely!

Is there any auto rickshaw available between these three places at any time?

Yes ! You can hire an auto from badami to visit all these places. Also you will get auto at pattadakal/ aihole
