my ex boss does Gem and Jewelery shows, and I know all these things you mentioned that he had faced also. I was a strong woman so I helped him setup by unloading his van.

It’s so nice that y’all are partners in crime in this venture! You’re one lucky gal - I have my tween kiddos and we have lots of fun too 😊 your recaps are so helpful. I wish someone could make one for my area - great job ❤ just started shows last fall. Had 3 for 2024 and all misses - found out carnivals and homemade don’t go hand in hand for us 😅

Thank you so much! I’m very lucky!! Carnivals I feel like they depend on placement. Where they put the vendors in relation to the carnival is so important. And how they advertise it.

This looks amazing. I'm glad it was worth the effort for you! I didn't see any signage or price tags. How do you mark the prices? (I'm also curious how much you sell items for, but totally understand if that's not something you want to share.)

I individually tag each item. I used to have signs but no one would read them. Prices vary depending on the item and time. A good starting point is always cost of materials plus time. Give yourself and hourly wage

You guys are nicer then me. I would probably have said, you have a choice here, either YOU move your items out of OUR designated space so we can set up our booth just as you are trying to do or we will move them for you.... I just cannot believe how rude people can be. I will never understand why some people go out of there way to make life difficult for others.... They must be very miserable people!

It was strange. The whole time it was strange. Sometimes it’s easier to use sugar than spice. I’m fighting the urge to use spice every day. You never know when you will need your neighbor at these types of events.

@@crochetvision Understood! I fight that urge every day as well. I am a very kind considerate person but if you intentionally ruffle my feathers then that is another story... My whole life I've always done my best to just keep the peace but now that I am in my 60's I'm all out of it... I have to hand it to you both, I'm sure it was not easy! As always enjoy your channel!!
