@Craft Stick Crafts In no way am I saying that you're dumb, but, the title is a bit misleading for this video. I was expecting to find out how to bend the popsicle sticks without boiling them because that's what the title states. To me, a more appropriate title for this video would have been something like "Why I don't recommend boiling popsicle sticks..."

So for the few that have commented how "Dumb" (see below)I am maybe you should have watched the video or read the text. The video shows the danger and why I do NOT recommend boiling. If you look at my channel videos and see what can be made without boiling you might ask yourself who is the dumb one.

Yup going to agree with the majority here. I came to the video looking for a way to bend wood without boiling. Saw the title that said "no boiling needed'. Thought I was going to see a comparison of his method vs the boiling. Instead I saw him say that it was dangerous and to hot to handle...when he handled it. I guess I'll keep looking for the information, but it won't be on this channel.

@@CraftStickCrafts no I didn't. I went to KZfaq, I searched my question. I watched videos relevant to my question. If a video didn't answer the question I clicked the back button then watched the next video. I am not going to flip through 200 videos in hopes of finding an answer to a question that other videos that pull up in the search will answer. You wouldn't be receiving so many negative comments had you put a better title on this video. Sorry.

Craft stick bending is done by soaking the stick then bend them around and object. Then let dry.

@@CraftStickCrafts I watched the whole video. I didn't go to the website. I am thinking of bending some wood to make cane handles and happened across your video. Thanks for the content. I think boiling is a common way to soften the lignin in wood, as well as steam. I think the heat is what does it, and the water/steam is a way to deliver the heat effectively.

I agree Craft Stick Bending is trade marked and as he is talking about non-boiling - he is boiling the darn sticks. Dumb. Doesn't he realize what he is saying with a pot of sticks with steam rising in front of him. Jeesh
