Hi Gayle, this is fabulous idea on the edges!! A tip on the yarn thru holes ( I felt your struggle) - use a crochet needle. Place needle in hole , pull yarn thru by the loop . Then put needle thru the yarn loop, and knot it Hope this makes sense, I know you've probably done this in the past. Our brains just aren't big enough to hold all the fabulously creativity! 😊

Or, if you have any dental floss threaders, the little plastic loopy things that are used to thread dental floss under a bridge. I always have those in my craft room. I’m not flossing under my bridge like I should be apparently because I’m crafting with them.

Good morning Gayle and friends. all of these are so awesome. I can sympathize with the “making my eyeballs go crazy”. I was trying to use up some premade card bases that were bold spring colors some with polka dots, but there was this zig zag pattern and not even covering most of it up helped! I was wondering if a crochet hook would help get the eyelash yarn on? And yes, I will be doing that edge in my Christmas journal this year and will alternate red, green and white! Don’t you think that would be pretty? Good luck on your prep and procedure. I would be happy to eat a little extra for you my friend. How pretty are those pages. And the texture on some of them is an added bonus😊. I’m thinking it might be cool to buy a novel for your granddaughter and then decorate the edge of half the pages so it doesn’t get too bulky and then give it as a gift and it can still be read. Sounds like I might have an idea for Christmas gifts🧐. Hope you are having a nice Sunday ❤️.

Hi Gayle! I got a big ball of Sari Silk Ribbons. I ironed them & put them (different colors) on the pages of my journal! So it not only looks good, but also feels good! I love all of your different ideas! Very Cool!!

Gayle, all of these ideas are so great!! I absolutely love them. You know your fabric tape would make an awesome edge with how beautiful they all are. ❤ Also to help with your thread pull thru using a large eye darning needle works great and makes it easier 😊 So so much fun!!

I watched your video yesterday where you made the first entry into this book. Then, between March Madness games, I watched Natasha's video about 30+page edges and I, too, made a list and notes! Yours are much neater than mine, however! 😂 I really thought about you when she showed her box of premade ribbon ruffle strips, as it looked like a "Gayle thing"! ❤. By the way, you said yesterday that someone had told you about digging out the last of the glue stick and putting it into another one. My husband had the patience of Job but even he did not have the patience to do that task but one time, LOL! I now use one of those little spatula things or a craft (popsicle) stick to dig the glue out and spread it on whatever needs gluing. Sanity saver for me.😅😂

Making an edge idea book is a great idea. All the edges you shared will look great in a journal. I had to laugh as you tied the eyelash trim. It looks beautiful but oh my, it will try your patience. lol

I watched the Treasure Books video like this sometime back. Fun to see another take on it. Regarding your struggle with the eyelash trim, it’s very hard o knit up too for the same reason. Could never tell if I had the yarn or the fluff, always dropping a stitch. Trying to unravel a knitted section to pick up that stitch was impossible. Have a great Sunday!

Hi Gayle. Love this. I'm just chomping at the bit to find a book to do it with. But I also just had an epiphany...wouldn't it be great to make it into a writing journal. Pretty page edges and either paint an area to journal on or glue a piece of paper down to write on. (Which could be decorative). Oh the ideas this inspires. I also see this as a way to use up some of my stash. WIN WIN situation. 😁 TFS Hope you have a great day. 🌞

These are great ideas, especially the eyelash trim. Maybe a faster way would be to wrap around it around,card the length you need and then cut. Ty Gayle 💜

You could also try using satin ribbon weaving in and out to the middle on the bottom end and top end then tie a pretty bow in the middle

I’m the one that was sending signals to use eyelash trim. I was so excited when I saw that pink trim come out. It looks fabulous. Sorry I didn’t send signals to cut the trim longer. 😂

These page edge ideas are fabulous! I love eyelash yarn. I use it to create movement on ephemera. When I dye papers different colors I also dye eyelash yarn to match. Preparing for a blizzard tomorrow. I’ll be crafting. Have a Blessed day!

Good Morning, Gayle! Happy Palm Sunday! I just love all your page edges. Very fun and so many pretty ones! Today is my first Grandson's birthday. He is now an 18 year old adult. Oh my! Where did that time go by? We are so proud of him. He's grown to be a kind, caring, generous, and intelligent young man. Next year he'll be starting college to become a bio-engineer. I'm so excited for him. I enjoy watching Natasha on occasion. She does have some great ideas. If you have some time, I highly suggest listening to the singing sibling group called Life in 3D here on KZfaq. They are wonderful and so peaceful to listen to. I love singing videos. I have one to recommend to you too. Search Dan Vasc Amazing Grace. He’s a “metal” singer, but maybe has the most incredible voice I’ve ever heard. A huge range. If so, I won't put anymore links on my messages. I was just saying how amazing I thought Dan Vasc was. Thank you for the recommendation. I was especially impressed with one of his earlier videos. A one man choir of Handel's Halleluiah Chorus. He does every part in that, including the Soprano. I've sang that part before and it's very difficult to do as it gets really high. My jaw dropped when I realized he was doing that himself. So if you haven't heard him sing that, search Dan Vasc Handel's Halleluiah. It's amazing!
