Oh, Wendy! These turned out SO gorgeous!! Thanks again!! And, YES! I'd love to see your crafting studio! It's fun to see where others create and gives us all ideas for setting up our own spaces. How fun that your sister has begun making journals! Welcome Stacy! I hope we will get to see your creations too! 3 things I recommend.... 1. a really good paper cutter 2. glues: Art glitter glue, Fabritac and a good quality glue stick 3. In the beginning we made "Mini Albums" (scrapbooks). 3 things helped me were: Collecting everything to make the album in a 12x12 container, a workspace that is not cluttered ( I use my gr.mothers bureau) and I watched lots of Tutorial videos.. I kept a journal of all the videos to refer back to. I still watch Shellie Geigle videos. Her video helped me make my favorite Mariposa Butterfly album. My first purchase was a Big Kick Die Cutting maching and one by one....punches from Amazon were a must have for making albums.

The 3 things I recommend would be a good pair of scissors, a dictionary that u can harvest paper from and a good glue that u like whether it be wet glue or a glue stick. I love using Bearly Arts wet glue and Prit Stick glue stick. Happy crafting!!❤

My top three items are a good craft knife, steel ruler and decent quality glue in a bottle with a small tip. And just for fun, a corner rounder. Happy crafting.

My sister got me hooked on making things for junk journals. I am 74 and she is 67 and we love going to thrift stores and the Dollar store looking for supplies. I am making journals for three of my granddaughters. My sister and I are very close, we are the only siblings left out of eight. We are best friends and love spending time together. I absolutely love your bird tags.

Love these bird tags! I love birds and a journal is on my to do list. I've started collecting images and papers. Can't wait to see the flip through of yours. Here in South Africa our Rand is really worse less...if you pay a dollar we have to pay R18.00 +.normal salary people find it very hard and us pensioners can't buy imported things also not freely available. 😢but we find other ways to enjoy our craft.🎉❤

Tags are very beautiful your collage is gorgeous you do a very good job job thank you for sharing THEOLA. I personally would start out simple when you done this a lot you build up your supplies try thrift shops so many are taking family things there I love using old books I am a inker and it adds a lot to projects also recycle things supplies prices have raised so much thank you Wendy great video

Stunning Tags!! Yes, please do a walk through of your updated craft space. Welcome, Stacie, to the wonderful world of junk journaling. You’re fortunate to have one of The Best journal makers in your family to guide you and answer any questions. I enjoy having all of the tools and supplies, but you don’t need them all to get started. I like Art Glitter Glue, Tim Holtz shears, Tonic guillotine trimmer(s), a few circle punches, score board and Teflon bone folder, Crop-A-Dile tool (not necessary, but nice to have), a book binding kit (reasonably priced on Amazon) containing an awl, needles and waxed thread, Walnut Stain Distress Ink and blending tool (again, not necessary as evidenced by your sister:), a glass mat or some type of surface that you can create on and easily clean. Finally, just have fun and enjoy the process! ❤ from KY

3 things That I find helpful in journal making are 1.paper trimmer 2. an awl 3.jumbo paper clips

My mum had a black and white cat, Black Douglas that was nick named Lucifer because he scratched up furniture and had a bit of a feral nature. But he was still loved and she was broken when he passed at a ripe old age from cancer.❤

My most used items include my paper cutters (both the mini and the next size up); Tim Holtz ephemera; Art Glitter glue; and my Epson eco tank printer for digitals.

Wendy, I can't wait to discover your sister's JJ style. My three must have to start are a paper cutter (the small one is one of my best buy ever), a circle punch, a dictionary for its weight for dyed paper and for the number of various pages. Congratulations for your big number of subies!

Lovely tags, Wendy! Yes, please do show us your new room set-up. Would love to see how you’ve moved things around. Also, I have noticed along with everything else, our cherished paper supplies are sky rocketing at a crazy pace (EVERYWHERE). Sad for us craft lovers! Three must have tools for journaling: great clear, fast drying glue; punches for circles, etc. which can often be found at thrift stores; old books MUST HAVE.

That is so funny Wendy because I had a cat that i raised as a cat and drop it when she was in labor, and didn’t come back for it all the cat would see was the dog so was raised with it and he would act like a dog. He would get behind the tree and wait for people to pass by so she could run at them and try to bite him. Then it would go after the mailman. He was so funny.

The 3 things I would suggest would be a good multi purpose glue, a papers or pads, and a brown ink pad with a thingy lol to apply the ink with.

In thinking about what I use the most everyday ... a small sharp pair of scissors for fussy cutting, a paper trimmer and a dependable glue or glue stick. I like Pritt glue stick and Art Glitter glue. And if I can add a 4th one ... "snacks!" 😂

Hi Wendy…more beautiful tags!😊. How fun that your sister is making journals now, and I agree with you 100% about needing to make them. It’s an addictive craft. Lol So hard to pick just 3 things that I feel I need to have to make journals, but I’ll say a self healing craft mat, Art Glitter glue and a corner rounder. I like the We R Memory Keepers one as it has 3 sizes. I feel too, that a stash of lace/ribbon “bits and bobs” is a good thing to have😊 Happy Easter to you and your family!

I love these so much!!! I actually just went on to Etsy to get these. I know Tracie Fox has a 30% this weekend, but it wasn't showing up, so I bought some other wallpaper tags that were only like $1.80, and I think I like them better anyway🤷🏽‍♀️ But wow have you inspired me. I have found I tend to get hung up on how much of the lovely background papers I'm covering and then have trouble moving forward with the collage process. Welcome to the tribe, Stacy! I recommend a good pair of fussy cut scissors, a large pair of Tim Holtz scissors (they cut through many things regular scissors don't, like metal). I use these with every project. ~Terri 😊

Everything is more expensive these days. So sad. I would love to see how you changed your work space. These came together so fast. I would suggest scissors, a good glue, and of course pager, be it book pages or magazines or digitals. 💕🥰💕

Hi Wendy, Arthur sounds like a little kitty stalker, my Gandalf does the same!! Sometimes I have to give him a little spray bottle spritz because he tries to bite too! Sweet kitties still, right LOL 😸😻 (Leo 💘) Love your tag making series!! I made the "slanted flip double pocket" envelope tag!! I live in Ontario and try all the time to get books from charity shops whenever I can and just cant find anything to be able to get birds or nice florals for my crafting. I have a few pen pals and use the envelope ideas a lot to put in my letters to send them happy mail. Thanks for all the ideas.

I just love kitties! They are so much fun to have around. (dogs too, but I like cats so I can come and go easier) I understand your being happy about your sister making journals. It's always fun to see others getting the "bug". I also want to add, love the envelope ideas. They are so fun and easy. In my latest journal I used the one that you created that folds around to the other side of the page and creates a tuck spot, and the swing side has a pocket. It turned out really well. Thank you. :) I edited this to add the three things I would suggest. Other than the basic stuff scissors paper etc. I would say a crop a dile hole punch and eyelet setter, A good bone folder, and a few nice digital kits like Tracie's tags and labels you are using b/c you can never fun out of them, you can just keep printing them out and using them. I just cut two pages of Tracie's labels yesterday. I also LOVE Ruby and Pearl xo digitals. They are so amazing!

These tags are lovely Wendy. The things I use nearly everyday: my small guillotine cutter, good glue (art glitter and a glue stick) and my bone folder. Also old books--like ones from the discount bin or a charity shop. Vintage ones are good but not really necessary. Always happy to welcome a new journal maker to our fabulous community.

Oh yes everything has gone up and sometimes to a totally absurd amount. Will it stop me from making ephemera? No, However I try to conserve my amounts I spend.
