I started this project in September last year and it stalled.. I have the hull printed, sanded, with epoxy and the putty on.. sanded again and primed. I now have time to continue on this project and I'll be finishing it next month. I'm planning to FPV it too. We'll see how it turns out.

guess nows not the greatest time to tell you... but you should have printed the stern another inch deeper.. Your strut angle is too high. That's why it's hopping. You have enough weight with 4x3s to prevent that hop or "porposing" effect at speed. Need to redo with adjustable drives. I may be wrong, but looks like you sunk the adjustment set screws below the body in epoxy? Ditch the dual pickus in the bottom for a dual pick up rudder, with a dual pump system. Just use the pickups in the rudder to supply the pumps. Constant cooling, sitting still or moving! Plus, it looks cool with water squirting out the exhaust ports, sitting still! (Pumps run off the RX. (3-6V) Not sure liquid steel would be my "sealant" of choice. Does it hold up to high speed and vibration / crashes, very well? Any cracking showing through the paint after running? Use mercury PTFE marine drive grease. It doesn't sling out as bad as that thin stuff. Plus, it has better friction modifiers. Nice rudder! But the boat would benefit from a dual pickup, the bottom pick ups, disrupt the ride surface, when it planes out. Scuff the bottom of the hull with light sand paper. No gloss there. It helps create more of a "hydrophobic" effect. Your hull will be capable of going faster. Check out Chris Hoffman, owner of Das Boata props. He's on fb and has website. I think it's www.dasboata.com You want the super geico twin, screws! Those will turn that boat in to a UFO! I run them on my Zelos 36 and Geico 36. Awesome props! Switch over to 2x6s 5000mah +++... 100+C, packs. Weight reduction and mass centralization. Ball bearing adjustable drives... major upgrade of the brass liners.. they burn out over time and allow prop wobble.. costing you speed. Good luck!

Thank you so much for uploading this whole process, I think this will spare me a good amount of time... I do own a 3D Printer but I'm not so familiar with things like weight positioning, choosing the right electrical components and so on. An RTR model of this is about 600-800 euros in Germany, would you be so kind an tell me how much your build cost when finished? Or at least if you stayed under that price or paid more? :)

@@CraftChannelYT Ben 3-4 ay önce Laimer tarafından tasarlanan fırçasız motoru(3d printed brushless motor) yaptım. Bence bir göz atmak isteyebilirsiniz. Hoşunuza gider gibi ama biraz meşakkatli bir proje olur ama bittikten sonra çalışmasını görmek daha güzel.👍🏻

Looks awesome! im looking to 3d print a boat for fun. I have a couple of questions. Do you feel if the hull was thicker print you would not need to epoxy inside and out? If you were going to do it again would you 3D print any of the parts ingot the hull like water pickups shaft holes component mounts etc?

I always needed epoxy glue. Depending on the size, weight and friction of the boat, the shaft and propeller etc. choices vary. For this reason, it makes more sense to press the holes closed during printing and then cut it to the appropriate dimensions.

@@CraftChannelYT thanks. is the epoxy to make it stronger? Or is it to make it water tight? I'm in the middle of printing a boat but the hull is 1.5mm thick. which is why im asking. I think the hull should be strong enough on the one I'm printing. and I'm planning on filling and painting so im not to worried about water tight or smooth surface. Would you still epoxy?

@@agentpredatorgaming3196 Naw mate the design of it is pretty simple to hold 2 motors and with my electronics( 2x 8 ESCs and motors from the Blackjack 42" boat) it's a handful on 16s.

Thank you for this upload. I am at the paint stage. I did reinforce all the seams with 3/4oz fiberglass strips and epoxy with micro balloons. Also printed the front 1/3 with infill for ballast and structural rigidity. Will start on the hardware and electrics shortly. All components were purchased from offshore electrics.

Hello from Germany, your videos here are just phenomenal and really great to watch, congratulations. I can't say yet whether I dare to do it, but I really like your configuration with motor/ESC etc. here and it will certainly be a great help for many. Of course also for me ;-). Now, since I want to buy some of your components, I noticed that not all of them appear in your descriptions. This includes, among other things, the Grease Oil. Can you tell me who the manufacturer is?. Unfortunately, even with a still image, I couldn't find out or where to get the grease. Since I don't know the composition, I would be really grateful for the info. Greetings to you from Thomas❤

Great video, wonderful model, I have now imported the STL into SketchUp to make changes, I have already made covers for the Flexible Shaft Bracket which are then glued in with epoxy or silicone, foam would not be my thing right now.
