In general, when recreating the Cascading Pleats Fun Fold card, I recommend one of two "rules of thumb" to keep your finished card from looking too cluttered or "busy". Option 1: When using patterned paper, use one piece on the center panel and keep the front and the back panels a neutral cardstock color with an embossed layer. The front and back panels can be decorated with stamps and die cuts (Examples: Magical Meadow and Fluffiest Friends). Option 2: Place patterned paper on the front and pack panels, and keep the middle panel with a layer of embossed neutral cardstock. (Christmas Classics and Meandering Meadow.) Of course, every rule has it's exception! The Beary Christmas Paper has patterned paper on all three panels. However, the front panel is the scene, or busier pattern, and the other two panels are a less "busy" pattern. Also, on this card the extra layer of Navy helps to break things up. Happy creating!

I use my SU trimmer to see if an envelope is thicker than a one stamp envelope. Run your finished card thru the slot where the cutting blade and embossing blade are in.

I try to make some "Happy Holidays" or "Season's Greetings" cards that don't have specifically Christmas imagery, as not everyone celebrates Christmas.

Do you not have a postage scale? Could require extra postage by weight.

I do have a scale, this card is well under the weight for a single stamp. However, the post office also charges extra for thickness, regardless of the weight, so if you like to add embellishments, like I do, you have to be mindful of that!
