www.craftinamerica.org. Cristina Córdova, sculptor, lives and works at Penland, NC, far from her homeland of Puerto Rico. Her beautiful figurative clay work is rooted in renaissance sculptural traditions and ceramics. Each piece represents our shared humanity while confronting contemporary issues of gender, race, beauty and power, and inviting the viewer’s participation.
IDENTITY: Artists explore issues of gender, race, culture and place, offering true expressions of their experience in this world. Featuring potter Diego Romero, photographer Cara Romero, furniture maker Wendy Maruyama, and sculptor Cristina Córdova. PBS premiere December 27, 2019 (check local listings).

I’m so glad to see anyone cover Puerto Rican artist, they are *_extremely_* underrepresented and appreciated. The silence of the Puerto Rican diaspora in media says more about America than any other culture. We are never celebrated but remain in the shadows. Thank you for having one of the few videos online that acknowledges us as a people. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!

Iam moved by your work, Ms Cordova. It seems that here in puerto rico finding that right studio can be bit, a miss. Istarted working in ceramics at an early age (13) at the WMCA for about 4 years. and loved it . since then i was w/a cummunity college in the bronx. wow the facilities there. i also attended parsons school of design. today live in Quebradillas , Puerto Rico.is there any advice you can give me to working again or what would you recommend. Asamlple of my work on google.harry matias /three masks.
