A few little things, the drill not placing near the end of the vid was due to a bug which has been fixed in the latest update, the dirt shredder is currently useless as large clumps of dirt are no longer created, you should add another filter to you system as 4 only reduces the damage by 80%, and the pressure tank is placed in a bad spot. Where the tank currently is you are losing 33% pressure by the time the water gets to the first drill (3% times 11 Pipes) leading to reduced ore quality.

Z It doesn't help taking dirt from down below. Once you place T2 dirt on T1 dirt the game converts the dirt to T1. T1 dirt is around .3-.45 and T2 dirt is around 1. Hope this helps you.

One tip Z: Don't forget to put the Gem Polisher on the conveyor before sorting gems in to the Gem press, Raw gems can't be Pressed any more. I usually sort them last (no sorter need). My sorting looks like this: Harvester > Conveyor > Conveyor (polisher) > Conveyor (Slope) > Sorter (Iron) > Sorter (Gold) > Sorter (Shards) > Sorter (Cloutium) > Gem Press, also put funnels right beside sorters and furnaces below. :D

by the way, if you overfill the forge it gives back the overflow as a new bar. I'm on my 6th miner now ^^ btw z you misread the scale, the top number the money worth or the ignot, and the weight at the bottom.

You can dump dirt from a shovel directly onto a straight (not elevator) conveyor belt.

Z1 really needs to get conveyers to bottom layer dirt to really speed up his mining.

Pressure boost hooks for the intake are both cheap and amazing, totally worth it. They make a nice progression before you are able to craft your first drill, and the 80% pressure boost remains fantastic.

on the subject of lag at the start i think you were looking for the term ASSET so instead of a pan holding a multitude of assets in a single place the smelter converrts it all into a single asset to avoid lag

Hey Z, if you don't want your machines to break, use 5 filters and not 4. Also, The Belt Grinder is not needed for now because the Chunks are the same size for Tier 1 & 2 Drills. Max still has to Implemented the Chunk Sizes for 2.0 as of yet. Love Your Vids!!! 👍

Z1 no worries on the iron ammount, you get the materials refunded if you have to much iron or cloutium. i have a bar just sitting there wich was weighing on 1000 so i can just make more drills if i need them.

I would like to see down the road maybe a quest thing. Or people in the towns wanting to buy items. Ex: Bob wants a ruby ring with a weight value of 500 gold. At first they had where you just sold ore then it was craft weapons and thing. I think the next step would be NPC. They do not have to move or talk just click and show what they want with a basket at there feet.

the plot at icehelm is horizontal not vertical so you mine into the wall behind where you buy the plot

Z, just FYI for speed's sake, you can just hold the bar or item over the scale without dropping it and it will still show the weight.

in the lava area you build in the cave. though the actual mining dirt is on the walls in the cave. you actually get a lot of dirt from buying that plot and the resources from the dirt are the same as the surface

Icehelm has the new horizontal mining. You can't mine the ground with all the molten metal and the area where the belt and drop off area are part of the purchase but not minable. You have to dig into the back walls. Though the T1 dirt section of the back wall alone was lucrative. I built ramp and platform structure up 3 blocks and then dug a cave mouth into the wall before openign it up to a cavern along the t2 dirt intersection. Ran 7 drills along the back row of t1 dirt with their pipes placed into the t2 dirt and with a U shaped loop going in front of them back around to the harvester and then out to a 1 block drop out to a sorting belt built along the wall itself. All dropping into smelters. Turning out hundreds of pounds of gold and iron every half hour and it took it only 2 or 3 hours to gather the last 250 or so pounds of cloutium I needed for my first t2 drill and harvester. Currently digging back and up to repeat it for the T2 cavern. (I estimate the wall is tall enough to have four floors of mining operations, each floor being 3 blocks high using the grid building system as a measure and wide enough I could probable expand the t1 to have 10 drills. I haven't done the digging but I think the two dig spots connect into one behind the stone wall where the site purchase bin was at.)
