Thank you for the video. I don’t know if you realize how much you have and are contributing to not only the camping/adventure and carving world but also the crafting world. Every forum I am on there is a Doug Linker project on it. You really are a star. I know you had the don’t come to my house episode which was very necessary wierd that you would have to but you are a lot of people’s favorite channel. Thanks again.

Thanks for the video mate. It is very timely. I’m in New Zealand and have a fair bit of antler laying around. With this lockdown we have here I’m in the workshop every day and have been making a few antler orientated items eg knife handles and rings as you did.Thanks for the video. Stay safe and take it easy.

Thanks Doug...I, too, think that shelf is very nice. I love the wood...It's good to see you, and good to see you don't have the Chinese flu. The rings were neat, too. It's great to spend a little time watching people doing projects. It gets the brain cell working overtime to make something yourself. I think I'll make breakfast. Hahahaha! Merry Ann from Minnesota

Cool Doug! I know what you mean about the smell. I made some toggles to secure an axe mask and that stuff smelled bad. Thanks for sharing your ideas. That shelf was great!
@54ChickenHawk3 жыл бұрын
It is a good idea to wear a mask while cutting/sanding antlers as if the deer had a virus/disease you could possibly inhale it. I have turned antler on the lathe for rings. Antler polishes very nice on buffing wheel. As always good to see you busy Doug, stay safe.

Hi Doug, some great little projects, I like it, i like it a lot. I concur with the smell, it is pretty bad. I do some projects with Beef bone, pendants, needles, buttons, etc., not many deer here in Cornwall, UK. We are really being spoilt with all this additional content You're putting out at the moment, really appreciate it. Take care, stay safe, stat healthy. God bless you and yours.

I find about 60 or 80 sheds a year or so on the ranch every year. We have a shed just packed with em, someday I will figure what to do with em all LOL Got mostly mule deer, but some white tail, elk and moose in there too.

I enjoyed this video. You have given me some more ideas with left over tines. I have made a couple of knife handles that turned out pretty well. I never thought about rings. I have a couple of vids on the knives. If you really want to stink up the shop, use a butane torch on them to darken them up...lol
