Our Weekend Hike in Western North Carolina
In this video, Kat and I take the road to the western side of North Carolina in the Blue Ridge Mountain region. It my birthday so we've set to spend the long weekend not only to explore Asheville, but also to experience the different environments and trails in the area.

Craggy Pinnacle Trail in Craggy Gardens
To kick off Here, There, and Everywhere we take the road to western NC to Craggy Pinnacle Trail. Craggy Pinnacle Trail is a relatively short, easy-to-access hike through a rhododendron thicket brings you to the pinnacle and 360˚views, glorious sunsets or morning mist on the mountains. This close-to-Asheville hike includes a sampler of mountain scenery: long-range views, twisted laurel and dramatic rock formations.
Craggy Gardens features a fragile ecosystem and delicate plants, remanants of flora from the ice age. Stay on the trail and within the rock wall at the summit to protect what makes Craggy Pinnacle so special. Volunteers with the National Park Service are often there to help educate you about staying on trail and to answer any questions.

Distance from Asheville: About 24 miles; 35-minute drive
Length: 1.2 miles total (.6 mile each way)
