Күн бұрын

Join the Emmy Award-winning actor, comedian, and former host of The Late Late Show to hear about his new memoir, Riding the Elephant: A Memoir of Altercations, Humiliations, Hallucinations, and Observations.
He shares stories that are “too graphic for television, too politically incorrect for social media and too meditative for stand-up comedy performance.” He discusses his deep love for his native Scotland, and looks back at a career that’s encompassed everything from multiple tours across North America and beyond, five Grammy-nominated stand-up comedy specials, a bestselling novel, two Daytime Emmy awards for Celebrity Name Game, acting roles in The Drew Carey Show, Winnie the Poo, Brave, and How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World. And he shares personal stories about fatherhood, growing up and growing older, becoming an American, and much more.
Recorded on May 7, 2019 at the 92nd Street Y.

@@brendawaechter7575 This may or may not be true, but one can hardly deduce from a book tour that the author is "friends" with the hosts of the show on which he's plugging his book. Given that the book tour-experience is almost always entirely superficial and mercenary in nature, and in the worst cases, fraudulent --- how many show hosts have said that they read the book when they did not? --- the odds are so overwhelmingly poor that I took the liberty of making a definite statement, which I believe to be true. However, the only two people who know if it truly is or not are KLG and CF. I hope you're enjoying the book. I found it to be fascinating, and almost incredible that anyone who is successful on American TV can so obviously be intelligent and perceptive, as well.

I wrote her off, 100%, back when she pretended she didn't know that children were hired in a sweatshop to make her clothing, back in the 90s, and then she threw a fit on television and then in an interview with one of these slave children, thought that singing at the poor girl's face was somehow her way of apologizing. I am surprised Craig with lower himself to her level by allowing her to interview him. He put her down enough on his talk show that I thought that he would never give her the time of day, justifiably
