“Goals are good for setting a direction, but systems are best for making progress.” Good quote from the book. I also like the workbook called 30 Days to Reduce Stress by Harper Daniels, teaches mindfulness.

My life changing experience with 'Make It Easy' - Habit #1 - Hit the snooze button. Habit #2 - Before the snooze timer expires, put on shorts and t-shirt, start the coffee, drink a glass of water (or pre-workout). ... After 3 months with these two very easy habits, I lost 20 pounds, ran 300 miles, and became the kind of person who wakes up early in the morning to run.

How is that easy lol. Doing all that before the snooze alarms hit is like doing all that in 10 minutes which is the opposite of easy.

This is really helpful. I'm working on keeping my journaling/prayer time in the morning consistent before getting out of bed. I'm also working on putting my clothes IN the laundry bags instead of just piling on top of tossing next to them. Small steps. Getting better.

Super content! I'll have to listen again. Interestingly Atomic Habits was part of my stockpiling last December, and I didn't get around to reading it. Now I will prioritize it.

I'm listening to this episode. I heard James talk about surrounding yourself with people who have similar goals. We should create a community of people here on KZfaq or on Facebook or some kind of platform! Does anybody know if there's anything like that?

biggest pet peeve is when people recommend books and know nothign about the person who they recommended it to. Mass Marketing baby. Great conversation but no need to hype up or recommend any book to anyone. Just share the facts and people will make there own informed decisions.

Had to stop listening when he started talking about principles based on evolutionary theory. There is good stuff in his approach, but disappointed this venue doesn't filter out things that are in opposition to sound Christian doctrine.
