It is depressing to see that the nation's historically most prestigious universities have become so ideologically homogeneous. The mission of a university should be to discover and disseminate truth. Truth is most often found in the clash of competing ideas. An intellectual environment where ideological homogeneity is strictly enforced is a shallow one, and it prevents a university from accomplishing its mission. I would not want my son to grow up intellectually in an environment like this.

I think the majority of people are under the impression that “ test optional” was all because of Covid interruptions. And that is because that is what is actually said on all the admission videos I have watched.
