Excellent video, I must say it made some light relief from all your 'Kermis' videos you are really best known for. Was the accident caused by the wind, a case of reaching that bit too far for something a bit too heavy, or simply the ground gave way under one of the 'extension stabilizers'. Excellent shots of a fleet of mobile cranes. What happened to the one that collapsed, - since it wasn't in sight at the end I presume they took it down. Surely their must come a time when these 'high reach' demolition cranes and the mobile ones such as these reach the limit of their size to be economical and, more important, safe to operate.

it's funny how the rules are different depending where you are. where I work our cranes would never lift anything with a chain. Wire rope or synthetic rope only.

king of the world true. I love how we in EU do heavy haulage and then you look how thy do it in USA so much difference to go from A to B

When cranes are put together, the parts are lifted with chains.

a set of chains two or four leg is the most reliable manner of attaching any load . now some areas or countries can have other laws and regulations , but they miss a lot of ease . it's also adding positive to the minimum weight of the cranehook

Looks like they had to leave the damaged crane out of the convoy? All the cranes leaving were telescoping cranes.

....these crane trucks looked more like a fleet of fire trucks ....which got me to thinking.....they should not be red....by law.....in addition wjen a company has a mis hap such as this....another independent crane operator must be called in.....what i see here is akin to me having an accident then removing the wreck b4 the cops get there....u kno ...they do accident scene investigations......ne ways nice picture tho

The red cranes look exactly like red cranes. You don't know European laws, and you don't know if an investigation had been done previous to the recovery. neways nice comment tho
