Spinal cord is shorter bcz vertebral column grows much faster than the spinal cord.

The correct reason is... In third month of intra uterine life spinal cord is fully formed and is as long as vertebral column...but after that vertebral column grows but spinal cord remains of same size...so when a person is born it is at level of L3 and when he reaches almost age of 7 it comes to L1 position

i think nuclei are present in forebrain but the nerves they carry are in sensory part!
