When Ethan started talking about how literally anyone (or himself) could easily kill him bc of his allergy, I started thinking about a book that I own that’s basically a murder mystery. Some kid died bc there was some peanut oil on a paper cup that he drank water from in a classroom and the five kids in there were suspects. I’ll put a spoiler warning here for the book’s ending, just in case. Btw, it’s called One of Us Is Lying. Pretty good too. In the end, it’s discovered that the kid basically killed himself through his peanut allergy and purposefully tried to set up each kid for his murder so each of their secrets (I.e. selling drugs while on probation, cheating on a test, etc) would be caught while investigating them since he didn’t like them for one reason or another.

It's so funny to see different youtubers interact with Ethan because they all give very different, intense vibes with him. Mark is a tired dad whose patience is constantly tested but who is very supportive. Jack is mentor older brother who has a questionable influence on Ethan but who would fight anyone mean to him. Arin is way older but with Ethan, but he comes off a good friend the parents don't like to have over because he multiplies the chaos level.

My husband's first allergy attack was with a Special K protein shake - which also didn't say it was made with nuts of any kind and had no allergy warning. He has a tree nut allergy and we had to go to the hospital.
