I know all those trees up there😆 and I know all the trees down river too😆 there's at least 30 down trees along that stretch, and old old rock pillers on the bottom

Love the content. Both fishing and finding! I've always had electronics on my boat. Reading and finding fish has been another animal for me. No one likes to admit their weaknesses. I'll straight up tell you I need coaching. Thanks for simplifying a lot of my questions. It kills me to not understand. 😂

I didn't finish watching. It was more like watching someone play a video game than fishing. Kind of weird how a lot of fishing takes place these days. I use technology but it is getting darn close to drone spotting and sniping these days.

Davis love your channel and all the great information you give the new crappie fisherman . I follow you and Ken (Hook city ) religiously . My question is Ken uses the fas-snaps in order to change out baits quickly without having to re tie the slip knot every time . Do you feel like fas-snap takes away from the action of the jig ? I know Ken is a fishing beast . Not trying to step on anyone’s toes . Just want your honest opinion on fas-snap vs loop knot . I see the benefits of loop knot . Just concerned about the action the fas-snap may take away from the jigs action . What are your thoughts on them ? I have lots of hand tied hair jigs and fas-snap would be convenient to change colors quick on color picky crappie .

Was gonna order some piscifun reels , should I get the 2000 size for my ACC 6 6
@FloppingCrappie
@FloppingCrappie 11 ай бұрын
If your just targeting panfish, the 1000 size will work. If your going for a multi-species rig, I would get the 2000 size. Don't forget to save 18% with code Flopping18. 😉

About how far away from the structure do you try and stay at before activating spot-lock on your trolling motor? Thanks and great video.
@FloppingCrappie
@FloppingCrappie 11 ай бұрын
I try get within 30ft if I can. These fish were deep enough (18ft suspended). If I'm fishing shallower than 12ft or so, I'll have to stay back 40-50ft

You think I could find them tight to the bridge pillars in that river. I was there yesterday but to windy
@FloppingCrappie

Usually they move to the pillars in late November through the winter months

How would you go about finding crappie way up north? I fish out of Ontario Canada and I find it very hard to find the off shore structure you seem to have a ton of down there.

Make your own structure!! Five gallon bucket I put pvc pipe maybe six ten foot pieces with concrete in the bucket spread the pvc pipe where it is going out from the middle!! That is if it is allowed where you live!! You can even sink a tree weighing it down with cinder blocks.
@fishndidz

@@ivansharp6054 yeah I really want to try it but I need to figure out if it is allowed first.

@@fishndidz If it is allowed!! Get you a gps mark the spot and don’t let anyone else know because if you do every one will be fishing it I have several down here in Texas at several lakes and when I m fishing them and have a fish on i wait for them to go on by before I land the fish!! 😆 Just check and see if you can , and if you can hang on and have fun!! GOOD LUCK 👍.

What has better detail hummingbird down imaging vs garmin 73s clear view
@FloppingCrappie
@FloppingCrappie 10 ай бұрын
It depends on the screen resolution and the transducer your using. If we're comparing the HB helix 7 DI to the Garmin 73 with gt54 transducer, the image will mostly be the same on both units. If we're comparing the HB helix 10 to the Garmin 73sv, the helix 10 has a better screen resolution which will give a clearer image. I run a Garmin GPSMAP 8610xsv on the helm which has 1920x1200 resolution which gives a better image than a helix 10/12

? Why 2000 size instead of 1000 size reel?
@FloppingCrappie
@FloppingCrappie 11 ай бұрын
Both reels work for crappie, but I use the 7ft rods as multi-species setups. So a 2000 works better for that application
