The bubbles you see in the glass are a protective film that it's shipped with. Take it off and its clean glass.

1- No such thing as parallax free, not even the $1000 plus Holographic sights ! 2- Take the protective lens cover off ! 3- The Trijicon is factory adjusted to be parallax-free at 50 meters AKA 164' 4- Your only 6-8 feet from the tape on the door so the parallax on a Trijicon RMR would have a similar amount of movement as your clone does. 5- If you put a small paper plate on the tree in the background and opened the window, I'd bet that your Chinese RMR clone would look parallax free at that distance. 6- Even Holographic sights (use a laser vs LED) like an Eotech will have the same amount of parallax at the distance you're testing at

Notice in the red dot testing part how the dot stays perfectly on the same branch of the distant tree in the background. Seems to be working great to me. The super near field parallax isn't a real life problem (target 2 feet away?)

This is correct, watching this 4 years later and it immediately struck me as I focused on the tree branch not the ridiculously close tape target. I have a cheap Aimpoint T1 copy and I was just testing the parallax, it does a great job even though its a fake. This one despite coating flaws seems fine too.

This is meant for airsoft, and before you reply, it is meant for airsoft because it is cheap, it works, and the imperfections wont be noticable because you will be in combat, not standing still competition shooting, so please stop fussing about it's quality, it is made cheap so it can be cheap for people with tight budgets.

It's actually pretty nice. Clean crisp dot, at least. I got a flip dot for $50 that really is absolute junk. Starburst, hard to locate the dot, lens flaps back and forth when operating the firearm. Wishing I bought this one instead.

Can you do an update video? does it still work? even with the POI change how has the actual sight held up and does it still turn on and how does it handle recoil? if you keep your eye straight through the dot to avoid parallax does it still have a POI change on target at 25yds?

I found one for $15 on Amazon. Took forever to get here, but it works great for airsoft training. I use it for quick draw practice, and I am shooting soda cans at 12 yards in 1.6s from a full concealed position. It's not bad for training, but wouldn't trust it for a life saver device.

Initially you would pay upwards of $400 for a real one. Of course with the real one, the quality is going to be better. Assuming that this is a Chinese replica, you probably paid $40-50 for something that isn't made for real firearms. You get what you pay for really. I'm not even sure why you'd spend more than $200 on a red dot anyway. This video is redundant in my opinion and of coourse your preferences are going to be different compared to others.

I know this is a video from 3 years ago, but practically all "knock off" sights with or without trades are made strictly for airsoft. Airsoft gas blowback guns emit less than 35% of the recoil of a "typical real weapon." In particular for pistols, the blowback emitted is much less than a .22lr so these are perfect for airsofters who want it for the looks and functionality on a minimum level. These "knock off sights" are particularly popular in Japan because they use duster gas which is a lot more weaker than propane or Co2. Fun fact: A lot of NCstar or Sightmark sights are a rebrand of ACM (all China made) sights without the trades and/or made in the same factory as these knock off sights lol. Only difference is made under the "supervision and quality control of NCstar or Sightmark". The closest you could get to "high quality China made sights" would be Vector Optics who produce sights and accessories for the Chinese Military.

Counterpoint: everything Primary Arms and Vortex sell is made in China, probably in the same factories as the Trijicon fakes. Chinese knockoffs are getting really good, because they're often made in the same factory as the real deal, just with less-strict QC. Will it stand up to being beat to shit in the sandbox? Heck no. But it might stand up to spending most of its life in a safe or a bedside drawer and being fired 400 rounds a year, which is what most civilian-owned pistols actually do, Rambo fantasies to the contrary.

on most of these red Dot Scopes The parallax error gets better at a distance than it is up close could you do this test again with a Target that's more like fifty yards away? From what I've reviewed and read the name brand ones do the same i believe up close like that.

I have try to mount one on my .308 cz700 sniper. After 100 shots he haven't move. Last year I have put a sightech redpoint (~150$) on my Beretta 92 and he has die after 2 magazin's... So I think this airsoft accessories are a good compromise, that's not expensive and that do the job...

How would you put a red dot on a Beretta 92? With a dove tail mounting plate adapter? That would look really stupid and you’d have a sight to bore drop of over an inch...on a pistol. And let’s be real, you don’t have a “cz700 sniper”. People who buy $2,000 rifles don’t put cheap Chinese optics on them. I have an AR10 that I build for about $1400 and I have a 4.5-18x scope that costs $800. Stop watching movies and video games and pretending like you have the guns shown

Slide milled for optics is also an option. Parallax is irrelevant at pistol ranges. By the time your target is at a distance where holdover would come into play, the dot is as big as the whole target. Your AR has SIGNIFICANTLY higher sight axis over bore, and nobody complains about those being inaccurate. :P

Holographic sights have the dot etched on the glass. It cannot move. The laser or diode simply illuminates the dot. That is either a diode or laser reflex sight.

+touofthehighplains I guess i got lucky on mine, i bought one for $32 off ebay and it has none of the problems shown in this video. The lens is clear, and yes it has the magnetic compartment, the one i have does anyways. I have it on a Beretta CX4 Storm and thought it wouldn't last but it has stood up to 250 rounds. Not sure if it will last on a AR.

Nope. I have had one on a spring powered air rifle for 4 years.... Only needs a mild zero every 6 to 12 months, and I shoot a lot. That may be in part to different pellets and the rifle getting more seasoned also. The main securing screws have never budged.

The distortion in the glass is produced by the tinting process. They used cheap tinting plastic and the distortions is the technicians finger prints.

My friend bought one of these and he put it on his ar. He constantly annoys me and compares it to my aimpoint comp m4. He told me left it on for four months before the battery died which I don't believe and every time we go out and shoot he's always having to rezero it. Now I know everyone can't afford an aimpoint but surely everyone can spend $80 and gets a set of cheap magpul sights which will prove to be far more robust then this junk

I got one from amozon and can't even sight it in, and it did come from china, the red dot won't come down at all, it's complete shit for 60 dollars, lesson learned, I'm never buying from amozon again

Should have took it apart. Mine is a copy of a docter but is just as fake as yours Mine doesn't work on windage at all, the adjustment screw misses the bar completely, it's bent, and the bars are plastic, the wires are glued on. I have an original, the windage and elevation bars are metal and the wires are soldiered on. The copy had a sticker over the "works" hiding the junk whereas the genuine article was naked in it's glory. It's really not on, all these crap fakes. Even if you get one that works, a few times adjusting it will soon right it off.

Crappy my ass. I've extensively tested these and perform flawlessly. The wires on the bottom are not sealed. With adding a little silicone to that area I've been using several for over 5 years now. Been to Front Sight in Nevada 4 times using one of them. Over 20,000 rds shot. Yes it's a complete RIP off of their brand name. That hurts alot of people's butthole. That being said they are definitely not junk.

There is zero possibility this stands up to repeated recoil on a pistol slide, and definitely wouldn’t survive being dropped.... if you are thinking about putting this on a gun you might ever use for self defense ask yourself how much your life is worth, ill bet its worth spending more. I know trijicons are very expensive but if you cant afford it look into a holosun, burris fastfire or vortex. Those will actually work when needed and not break
