Seeing Night Fight without darkness makes it look really easy. Would it be possible to do something like this for the dark levels in Crash 1 or the Wrath of Cortex?

Yes for Crash 1. Especially in the n sane trilogy.

The levels seem so... barren compared to the rest, guess the dark was to compensate, keep you on your toes.

Without the darkness, Night Fight and Totally Fly are easier than The Pits. There's a lot more empty space. 5:14 - What were you trying to do there?

I was checking out the z-fighting (sort of) of the tree polygons at the top of the screen.

Imagine playing Crash 2 and 3 with the darkness feature. Hard to hack I assume but would be fun and challenging!

Is there a way to decompile the object programming from the NSF and NSD into lisp and put them back? That would be pretty cool. Since I know that the executable barely holds any object programming, all of the addresses are referenced in NSF and NSD files. I found out that actually by messing with the demo files in the final version and vice versa. All works fine (even the power ups in the firstest of the demos released) except that the intros' addresses differ. So for instance if you enter a demo stage from the final warp room, it'll look screwed up, but play fine, and vice versa, if you enter a demo stage from a demo intro and finish it, all the other stages will look screwed up. That only includes strings and objects, though. (^ Crash 3 I'm talking about here)

can you do a color mod for crash bandicoot 3? like when the color of the levels changed due to colored gems, like in the final tomb level with all the colored gems?

koppány fidrám It's actually a very common demo. I still have a disc with that level. Search it up on KZfaq, but don't expect major changes. The only thing that is different is the Warproom which is the beta version.

Please tell me how to do so to be able to add more boxes CrashEdit than is possible, I wrote atoms error occured over 64KB of data, you can fix it somehow and I can `t ( if something is done wrong it all over again And you can add more boxes

Can darkness be induced in non-dark levels?

Yes, with some limitations. My current understanding is that the darkness effect is implemented using what is essentially a custom vertex shader program. Some other effects would be incompatible with this, for example the sewer levels use a different vertex program to implement the yellow flashing water and the water distortion effects. I don't believe it is possible to have both programs active simultaneously, although it is possible to do so in separate areas of the same level.
