got 19 platinum relics. the hardest levels are Jet board jetty, bears repeating, Nitro processing toxic tunnels, crate escape, ship happens double seeing, rush hour, run it buyou, no Dillie dallying😨😰😱. so good luck Lewis. and have a great day. 😀

When you have the chrono stopped and you finish the level, it is subtracted from the time that the chrono should have been stopped, this is very useful for breaking the time boxes with the nitro detonator at the end of the level

For some reason, even if you disable the time trial ghost through the options, it still shows up during the second half of every timeline level. Like, if you don't see it when you're switching back to Crash, the ghost is probably ahead of you

The closest thing to the Bazooka you can use here for time trials is Dingodile's vacuum cannon. It can catch the clock from a short distance

I honestly think doing these crash time trials has really helped your patience. I remember vividly you pretty much losing it after just a couple of attempts back when you started with crash 1. You've really come a long way!

Yes, you have less control over your movement while slide-spinning, especially when you're supposed to turn and move around tight corners and explosives, but it's pretty satisfying to get right. Like, you can do it and jump right when you're going over the hedge and chain it with three spins to push you forward and then double jump. You can get quite the distance with this trick, even though it's never mandatory

A nice tip for you, if there are any time crates on nitros it’s best to save them till you hit the nitro detonator switch at the end since when you cross the end of the level, any remaining seconds the clock is frozen for gets subtracted from your time

BTW tip with time crates that are next to nitros: just skip them and hit the nitro detonator at the end of the level. It's not only easier, but depending on how many crates are broken by the nitros, it will actually LOWER your time. Eg, say you break crates that add up to 4 seconds, and then you go to the end of the level, which is probably about another second, give or take. That's approximately three seconds saved so that's now off your time. Also saves time because instead of going over to break crates that you waste time trying to jump on or spin without being hurt, you just hit the detonator and they all go off at the same time.

Highly recommend slide spinning more especially to get to moving platforms like in booty calls for example

When you are playing a Tawna level and you come across a a wall jump section you can skip the first one and jump on the second one it saves some time

You don't have to break time crates next to nitros. They blow up when you hit the switch at the end. Those seconds will be subracted from the time

The ghost appears if you hit Replay when finishing a level

i remember how i rage at this platinum relic course i could not get rid of the ghost in time line levels

Here's what's REALLY a problem in this game: Rock blocked The crate escape Toxic tunnels Seeing double

I used L1 for mask power, it were pretty useful from my POV

For me the hardest levels were, jettboard jetty, rock blocked and any cortex levels

Make sure you hit the nitro detonation crate at the end of each level, Theres a glitch where if the timer is paused and you hit the nitro detonation crate it subtracts time off of the final time I did Thar He Blows finished with 29 seconds on the clock and the glitch reduced it to 24 seconds

I will love see a game with this time line where Tanya saves herself

Also tip for dingodile in the later dingodile stages there are some gaps like in rush hour that you can use his hover to make it to the other side with out even jumping on the car platforms

Map spin to L1. That way you can alternate between L1 and R1 to slide spin. It's much easier to do the triple spin as well.

25:31 "Pretty good" apparently doesn't net you a Platinum Relic. 😅 I forgot how much more challenging Crash 4 feels to the original trilogy (especially the later levels). Although, vanilla Crash 1 may have it beat due to the simple fact that you have to hit all the crates in one run. Granted Crash 1's levels are much shorter than 4's levels. Dingodile seems like a liability in terms of time trials. Yeah, he may be fast in CTR, but he certainly isn't quick on his feet here. 😆

I think the ghost is close behind you because they intended for the player to be able to kinda follow their lead.

I got all the platinums except for seeing double so I know and remember the hard ones Toxic tunnels is a pain

Honestly tawna and dingodile in there introduction level aka hook line and sinker and home cookin are super easy but even rush hour isn't that hard more hard to beat the level for that lol

yeah the side character levels are by far the easiest platinums to get and dingo diles especially is super easy to the point where you can basically get the dev relic 1st try if you wanted to. Also heads up for Jetboard Jetty that miniboss doesnt appear for this relic it doesnt force you to try and beat it as quick as possible. So just zoom forward to the end when you get to that point. And dont go slow and then lose the platinum by a second like I did. It sucked. And yeah you know youre doing very well so far I just wish you good luck when you get to further stages ahead where the levels get longer and longer and longer. That one level where you play as both tawna and dingo takes FOREVER and each restart hurts more than the last. Also Lewis when you get to Cortex stages its very beneficial to keep boosting as much as possible to do it quicker but also you have to do it smart. You cant just boost nonstop or else your bound to just die over and over again so you have to boost wisely as much as possible whenever its available. And when he jumps just be wary his jumping has some annoying physics where it just WONT reach him on some platforms you might try and cut a corner to save some time. Its especially apparent in the BC level where instead of shooting the nitros and then jumping its better to cut the corner and jump on the ledge instead but cortex's jump doesnt allow it to happen sometimes. And when you get to those polar levels. try and stay sane because every box you miss hurts. 9/38 lewis you can do it.

I think the slide spin is honestly to difficult since you constantly have to press 2 buttons very fast. Triple Spin is way easier in my opinion. I used like triple spin 95% of the time to beat all the platinum relics,

Having to hear the trip spin over and over makes these videos so ear grating compared to the trilogy, it’s just such an awful gameplay mechanic
