Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex - Level 7: Sea Shell Shenanigans (Crystal/Gem)

The first scuba-diving level in the game, based on Crash 3's own for its 2nd and 12th levels.
Instead of the Submergible from Crash 3, you get a Yellow Submarine an underwater vehicle. It can shoot torpedoes and drop depth charge bombs, but taking one hit from it will not only destroy the sub, but kill you, too!
An annoying obstacle in these underwater levels are those skull & crossbone mines. They drop as you get near them, and will likely fall right on you if you keep going forward. What kinda bugs me is that they only explode when they hit the ocean floor, not when they touch you or your ship.

@@funkyfeem727 It's a good game, but yeah, I wasn't a fan of how it basically rebooted the entire timeline and made all of the post Naughty Dog games take place in alternate dimensions. It was just so unnecessarily convoluted and cheap.

@@TheFoxFromSplashMountain I agree it felt, if I'm honest kinda lazy, the game itself is fine even if quite hard in a few places, but it's the alternative timeline stuff that lost me alot and also wasn't a big fan of the style change or the voice actors changing (no ill will against the artists or voice actors though) . It took me away from seeing it as a sequal to N'Sane Trilogy if I'm honest. I feel they should of just made it a reboot instead of claiming it to be a sequel. It just doesn't make sense to me.

Wow, that level must be difficult, with those bombs falling from you. If i ever get a Crash bandicoot game, i will know that they are difficult and not so easy to complete.

Good under water level this where in the first part you’re swimming then in the submarine in the second part

Now I understand why people criticise this game for being a blatant rip off of Warped. Because this is clearly a rip off of the underwater levels from that game. But then I suppose I must not deny that I myself would have played things a bit too safe to the Naughty Dog games as well, not to mention I probably would have mirrored the character designs as well. Why did I not see this as a rip off of Warped until 2018? Because I was paying too much attention to the differences in the graphics and not enough attention to the similarities between the levels.

@@NoahOnYT. I wouldn't say that it is better. Just different. I still prefer the soundtracks from the Naughty Dog games. However, I do like the dark and cold atmosphere of Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex.

@@c.syde65 Fair enough. I just like how every soundtrack matches the theme so well and they’re all unique. (Other than medieval madness in the Xbox and GameCube) Also, this is the only crash game I played for years so I’m absolutely nostalgia biased.
