Activision doesn't care about other IPs except their COD machine. The fact that Rumble was made before a new Spyro game proves Activision doesn't care about fans/players. They only want your money and don't care about games they make!

We'll never get a new game as long as Activision is in charge! All they care about is their COD machine and they've moved in a direction to focus only on Crash Bandicoot. Time to accept that Spyro is now just a Crash character.

We don't need a new Spyro 4 regardless of who the publisher is. At least not yet. That's what a lot of fans are whining about. What they should do is remake the real Spyro 4. That way they can make it the way it was originally supposed to be but better.

I have a mod that allows for flying. I like Wrath of Cortex but I have a feeling nostalgia plays a huge part in your preference for it. Not sure how Crash 4 is terrible - it’s difficult but the level design is very much inspired by the old games while being far more unique in terms of design and graphics compared to Wrath. And similarly with Crash, I’m not sure why for a Spyro 4, which would be the first actual new Spyro game in over a decade, they should go back to an old concept that may not have been as good as the ideas were. Waiting over 20 years for a new classic Spyro game and effectively getting Enter the Dragonfly 2 would be awful imo.

@@CrystalFissure Cool. To be fair I like it's about time's story. And the abilities you get from the quantum masks are cool. It just feels too much like Crash 3 which I already don't like. This alone isn't a reason to dislike it however it certainly doesn't help there's something strange about the way Coco looks in that 1. I think I get why you'd say that. It's due to my not liking that it essentially makes the real Crash 4 irrelevant. However we've never talked about this and we've never talked outside of online but 99% of the time I'm not someone who lets myself get caught up in nostalgia. I don't for that very reason nostalgia distorts your view of the things and makes you remember them as they never were. It's disgusting in a way. I like you a lot and I absolutely respect your opinion as I hope you respect mine but saying an improved Enter the dragonfly would be terrible? How can you say that? I just can't agree. I also thought I mentioned this but I think a new Spyro would be bad now. I definitely think a Spyro 7 would be great but only after Enter the dragonfly gets justice. They did that game so dirty and it really sucks because based on what I heard/read it had potential to be the best of the Spyros. I wanted them to remake that 1 even before I was on board with Reignited. Back when the rumors of the treasure/enchanted trilogy were floating around I thought remaking the the 1st 3 was a waste. My opinion changed the 1st time I saw the trailer for Reignited. I also love the Los trilogy but that's not a sequel it's a reboot. I think part of my thoughts on it come from not having waited for a new Spyro game like a lot of fans seem(?) to have been. I mean I accepted we'd probably never get a new Spyro game before Skylanders came out.

The reason why I think it’s effectively a waste of time to remake ETD is because fans are already working on something in the Reignited engine, but also getting a remake as the next game over a new experience would be a retread of over 2 decades ago. I want to make new experiences with Spyro instead of solely being nostalgic about old games. Enter the Dragonfly’s breath mechanics are fun though and they can definitely use ideas from that game, should they need it. Nostalgia can definitely distort people’s views, absolutely! I think in the case of 4, it was too difficult but the challenge made it feel like what it was like to play the original 3 at the time. We just got so good at the games that it all became second nature to us.

It needs to happen! We’ve waited long enough.
