Less than 2 minutes into the game, a playoff game at that, Harden cooks Green up, then simply wants to go back down the court, all of his body language says he's not trying to rile up anyone, Green goes out of his way to punch him in the face, then Green follows and leans into the refs yelling at them. "A taste of your own medicine" is more specific than the concepts of payback or karma. A taste of your own medicine means that the EXACT thing you did that was wrong, is done to you in turn. For example - the pitcher who intentionally hits a batter with the ball. A taste of his own medicine would be if the opposing pitcher hit HIM with the ball...NOT someone hitting a home run off him.
