When you do the on road ride quality demonstration over the dip in the intersection it is hard to see how much the truck bucks on camera. It would be really cool if you had something to show reference inside the cab. Something like a bobble head, or hula girl, or a “cup of coffee” in a clear tumbler with a lid. Just a thought! Love what you’re doing with these trucks! Keep ‘em coming!!!

@@CJCOffRoad I bought the kit used off of Facebook. It was for a 4th Gen... Wasn't sure the kit would work for my 3rd Gen 6.7 long bed with a g56 🦄. So I Call you guys at cjc for some info to see if kit would fit. You guys said yes and helped me with all I needed...CJC thanks! 💯

If the stock wheels worked with 37s we would, but they're so tucked in that they don't clear, and we don't like to use spacers. Bummer since big tires on stocks looks so cool.

How does the 3.5 differ from the 2.5 for the 2003-2012 does the 3.0 mount up front the same? Or is there fabrication needed for the mounts Looking to build my truck in levels an maybe wanna start with a 3.0 shock and spring set up first

The 3.0 and larger Carli King shock packages come with new front shock towers that are bolt in. All you need to do is drill out the coil bucket to allow the larger shock to pass through!

Very, very nice. Sooooo.....maybe somewhat unrelated, but how is the towing with this setup? We are planning to put this system on a an 06, but do need to two now and then about 7500-9000lbs.

I’m fairly new to the channel. I’m liking the 3.25 inch lift on the new rams and fords but noticed there are no 6 inch lifts. Any reason for no 6 inch lifts for the newer trucks? Thank you

Carli has a 5.5” system for the Fords, but on the Rams there is nothing over 3” due to the rear suspension design on the 2500s. Anything over 1” in the rear will cause a noticeable reduction in ride quality and strength.

I love my 06 ram 1500, but I love this build just as much (if not more 🤤) my goodness! I love how the HD third gens look lifted the best because that spring is so visible in the wheel well with the shock in the middle (oldschool coil over setup). The new 5th gen builds you do at 3.25” are beautiful but you can only see the reservoir really in that wheel well especially if you’ve got 37-38” tires. Do you think with some minor trimming you could fit 40s on this 08 or a complete wheel well modification would be necessary?

The issue with 40s is actually the firewall. It can definitely happen, but it takes some commitment and fab work. The kits you see that run 40s on these trucks just use large bump stop drops to limit travel so that the tire never comes near the firewall. The downside to that is having limited articulation and suspension movement though.

Yeah, on the newer Rams you really can't see the suspension on them wheel wells. On the 3rd gens Heavy Duty models you can and they are bad ass looking trucks like this one.

@@Sickksidex3 absolutely. It’s a tough dilemma because I love the interior and exterior of the new HD ram trucks but I don’t wana spend 80g’s on one lol. I could get a clean 3rd or 4th gen PRE-DEF with a raw 6.7L Cummins and spend $10k on a carli system installed and it ride as nice as a brand new rig for half the price...

The shock body should be towards the axle on the passenger side of the truck.

@@brokenwrench404 Paint match is also for parts not to look the same as what's on other trucks. If you don't care what it looks like let it be beaten down and rusty. If you want to throw down with it AND look good, then put some effort into it.

Great build guys! I've learnt a lot from you, and built my Ram based on ideas from your videos. I have 2020 Ram 2500 on Thuren suspension and 37/13.5/17s. Didn't like cheesy center caps look, came to your KZfaq channel for ideas and noticed 90% of your ram trucks don't even have them lol. Looks meaner and cleaner. Do you just spray paint what's behind them? any special paint required? Thanx!

We appreciate the support and it sounds like you’ve got a killer suspension setup on your truck! We like to use Steel-It to paint the hubs on these trucks as it’s a durable finish, and has a nice, semi-gloss finish just like factory.

@@CJCOffRoad nice thanx for the reply. I’ll do just that! I installed everything myself, since you guys were booked for 5 months upfront. The truck came out pretty unique looking. Andrew from Thuren fabrications helped a lot with a build process. I can send you pictures with a list of has been done if that helps your business anyhow. It’s pretty much ur build, cause all the info I got from you, trimming fenders, alignment, tire size and wheel off set etc etc..
