@@cherrygrabber7172best way i can think of implementing clashes in modern fighters would be to mimic DBZ Budikai 3's dragon rush system. Instead of mashing a button or tearing an annalog out, just prompt the players to play a game of rock, paper, scissors. During the clash animation.

@@Timquan. Oh, like Kill La Kill IF. One clash has to be Naruto vs Sasuke reenacting their second fight, and Naruto vs Neji, that would be cool. Doesn't have to be over 10 seconds long, like every other super, in case cutscenes become too repetitive or drawn out. Like I missed how cool Ultimate Ninja's supers were, but they do take forever.

Funny thing is its actually kinda canonically accurate. Sakura and Sarada tried shannaro punching each other, and due to the insane chakras their fists didn't touch almost like magnet repel

These were so cool. Honestly Guy is believable in some of these the force of the Entry and Bro's Kicks makes sense to me in some of them. Same with Fang over Fang vs Rasengan but bro is getting blasted back.

The mechanic on this game is the reason why it was in my top 2 best storm game ever. My top 3 mechanics of the game are: This Wall combat(literally you are on the wall with your enemy sideways fighting) And the ultimate smashing button where if you got caught in the ultimate you'll still have a chance to escape.

That's a whole nother mechanic to add, and I'm pretty sure they aren't gonna put the effort to add it back in. They just want quick, easy cash. That's why they're reselling another Naruto Storm collection game. They just don't wanna make ultimate ninja storm 5😂

I feel like a lot of people are overestimating how often these would actually happen. I did a 100% run of this game and I think I got into maybe 2 clashes throughout the whole thing.

The thing is they could have made it work and be fair by having whoever currently has the most chakra built up win the clash, and have it be a tie if the chakra is of an equal amount. They just are too lazy to put that kind of effort into the game because it's mainly as cash grab these days. 90% of their production time and money goes to animating lackluster story mode cutscenes and ultimate jutsus.

awful mechanic for online, competitive and the longevity of any controller. If it was a QTE or RPS style clash sure they could add it but probably RPS would be the best for online.

A few very understandable reasons probably. 1: The Amount Of Characters And Jutsu. 2: Constant Mashing Destroys Controllers. 3: If people constantly get into clashes (accident or not) it takes away from the actual skill factor in the comp scene. (*and no, constantly pressing one button faster than another person isn't a skill inducing mechanic as far as comp. sure the speed of pressing one button is, but overall that's all there is to it, and it can physically damage some people.)
