Mania is a symptom that is caused by affective, or mood, disorders, namely type 1 bipolar disorder, previously known as manic-depressive disorder. ADHD is a behavior disorder, basically meaning your behavior is not typical and causes you problems. Examples of behavioral symptoms in ADHD include hyperactivity, fidgeting, impulsivity, irritability, risk taking behaviors, lack of restraint.
