I have something in common with the guy who stole the police car. I too once crashed a police car but was not arrested. Furthermore, I was a kid and my dad was a cop. He left me in a running police car to get something from the house. I got into the driver's seat, got the car in reverse, and somehow hit the gas. Shooting the car out of the driveway across the street and into a tree. The police chief thought it was funny, and after that my dad was known as the officer that lost his car to a kid. The chief always reminded his officers to keep the patrol cars away from me after that day.

@@drobichaud1000 Well it did happen, I was about 5 years old in the early 80's in a town called La Conner Washington where my father was a police officer. But luckily I don't have to prove anything to you.

yea, there was an old mustang chase video from OKC where the cops pitted him 2-3 times on the highway but he kept it under control until he got stuck on a stop sign lol. Thought that would be on here too

Three strikes law is for three independent crimes. So he could get three felony charges there but it would be considered one arrest and not a violation of the three strikes law.

But they can run wild with the sequential charges. Like some 18-year-old is running away from stealing a phone charger and bumped into a cop when he turned a corner, boom... "felony assault on a police officer." There are some sick people working as prosecutors.

Depending on when the source video was made... If it doesn't have the guy from Cocoa, FL who stole two *marked* police cruisers during the chase (One even a SWAT car), then it isn't the craziest chases.

Growing up in LA County, I’ve seen so many police chases! The scariest ones are on the freeway at night. The first thing you see is a bright light shining down from the sky. Then you realize it’s a helicopter spotlight tracking the car.

Yeah. Police here in the states don't waste time with politeness. They're quite brutal, doesn't matter who you are. In all fairness, policing is tough in a country where everyone feels untouchable and most have guns, so hard arrests are sometimes warranted.

The two guys in the Mustang Herschel Reynolds and Isaiah Young were sentenced to two years each in state prison. The men pleaded guilty to burglary and driving recklessly while fleeing peace officers.

Ambulance guy looks like fat Rocky!!! LOL there was a great car chase the friday night before Super bowl from LA, watching it live on the news youtube channel!! he actually must have called ahead to friends, as he had gotten ahead of the cops, and the helicopter follows him under large overpass, and he does not come out the other side, then about 20 seconds later a cop comes up and a different car comes out the way the car was originally heading. when they stopped 15 minutes later or so, 4 guys jumped out of the car running. it was like a fast five movie!! LOL

you should react to the full coverage of the RV one sometime, the whole thing is on youtube, its way more crazy than this video gives it credit for. she almost kills several people and it ends with her slamming into a parked car with an old man in it in his own drive way.

The woman who fled with the RV did indeed injure someone. At the end when she crashed it she hit that white car who was pulling into his driveway and he got injured. At the time he was shown walking around his driveway after the crash, but a subsequent news story followed up on him, and he was banged up. All the cars she hit were totaled.

Wow, you’re justice system it’s a lot more lenient! that guy that stole the police car and hit-and-run and car jacking and kidnapping and it depends on what amount because third strike he be out and you’re looking at 20 years. This guy is probably is looking at least 6-7years! He’s definitely not safe in society, especially with the kidnapping! Genius

All dem cops is overkill; that was purely a beat down after the fact. I see that all the time, two people in a car and all of a sudden a traffic stop turns into 6 cars behind you and I’m not joking, every time the car drives away so all that intimidation is is fear tactic is some states

I outran a cop once, he ended up catching me, he pulled his gun out, I put my hands up in the air, and I said "What, what did I do?" trying to pretend it wasn't me, anyways he didn't have a radar gun and just got me for speed imprudent, and failure to yield for an emergency vehicle, got one dropped and the other reduced.

I live near LA and these things come on the daily news on the regular. I have seen many of these as they happened. Statistically LA has 4 chases per day. Most of them end before they get on TV. I guess the Britons have that thing called fox hunting?

Why are punishments in the UK so lax. I've honestly noticed this in much of europe in other contexts too. Even in sports. There is a great reticance to actually punish wrong doing. People break the rules but they don't want to hand out yellow cards and get mad at the ref for enforcing it. If there's racism in the stands it's minimal fines or penalties. I remember when they tried to enforce kicking the ball away and that lasted like half a season. Actual fans complained about enforcing the laws of the game. Is that a cultural thing?
