@ya boi koi no because the kicker recovered it it’ll be the kicking teams ball since the receiving team didn’t recover it. If after a certain distance, I believe 10 yards, the ball isn’t recovered from the kicking team then it’s a live ball and the kicking team can get it for possession. Look up onside kicks for this.

Pat McAfee mentioned wanting to do that for a long time. The second he saw that the receiving team put nobody up the middle, he was ready for it.

onside kicks are normally done prior to the end of the 4th quarter when you NEED the ball back to either tie the game or win, otherwise you give up possession and lose the game because you simply run out of game time.
