Russia, a perennial hockey powerhouse, over a desert country that almost never gets below freezing. What a shock. Almost as impressive as a USA basketball win over Guatemala (average male height - 5' 4")

@shipofthesun
@shipofthesun Жыл бұрын
@@jaxonsloan27 The National Championship was played between the Dawgs and the Buckeyes. Ironically, Georgia vs. Alabama in the 2012 SEC championship was the actual national championship game, which came down to GA needing 2 yards to score a TD and win, but the clock ran out. Alabama then went on to beat Notre Dame like a rented drum set in the official game.

Nice compilation! Was hoping to see the Phillies @ Cubs game that ended 23-22 (I think in 1979). Not a blowout, but definitely a weird baseball score!
@roygoodhand1301
@roygoodhand1301 4 ай бұрын
May 17, 1979 to be exact. Also, it was in 10 innings. That game is known both for it's score and for Dave Kingman's three home runs, two of which were moonshots, including one that went well over 500 feet.
@johnfunk9968
@johnfunk9968 4 ай бұрын
@@roygoodhand1301 I certainly did not remember the exact date! I also did not remember that Kingman had 3 homers that game. (I certainly would've guessed he had at least one though!) I did remember that it was a 10 inning game. I remember that Mike Schmidt had 2 homers (I believe 1 in the 10th). I remember that the score was 7-6 after the 1st inning. And I remember that they rebroadcast the game a day or 2 later in Philly on Ch 17 (WPHL). I don't remember the reasoning for that though. At that time, they televised all of the away games, and only televised the Sunday home games. So since it was in Chicago, they should have televised the original game live. 45 yrs ago, so my memory could be mistaken though. :)

Well, I think the 2022 Broncos coulda gotten on here when they went against the 49ers. It was an 11-10 victory, and if I remember correctly, that was the second time in NFL history that a game ended with that score. Coulda also added the Broncos vs. Rams Christmas game last season too, but... I'm still trying to block that memory.

@@gwalker3776 Winning is not what it's all about. If you don't see it, I guess you just don't see it. I'm not in on trophies for all, that shouldn't be done, that just dumbs American children out of their learning years. Win at all cost doesn't work, it is a bad model for kids. That's all we do now, I feel so bad for my grandkids, and I was part of the problem I know now. Fixing it in America or anywhere in the world seems as far away as a telescope can see, there is no help there either. It's all on us know one followed what their mind was telling them to do when it was time to live and not fight. Today fighting is the only option, I trained to fight in the military, why do we want that for our kids? It's something you only understand as you get older, It's a blessing and a curse at the same time in today's world.
