Brainworx bx_console SSL 4000 E Mistakes & Best Plugin Alliance BX SSL 4000 E Tutorial ever, as nobody knows 50% of these unique things. The deepest knowledge about SSL Channel Strip not available from any other Audio Engineer or KZfaqr. How to mix with BX SSL 4000E. How to use bx console SSL 4000 E Review. To Attend a free trial Class of this Mixing Course online send email to: mixingcourse@andrewzeleno.com
What's wrong with emulation of this audio plugin which is not like a real Solid State Logic Channel Strip of SSL Console. Where SSL company stole their design. Difference between SSL Brown Knob and SSL Black Knob EQ. What G Compressor it is. It's not G Bus Compressor btw. What a Constant EQ type is. About so-called Authentic Emulation. A Mistake in the default Settings of Brainworx SSL 4000 E. Emulation of Line Amplifier and saturation on the output of the channel called THD in the plugin. What Compressor SSL Compressor is based on. What Feed Forward type of Compression means. And What RMS Detector is. Something related to Aphex and DBX. The fact that ion the beginning of 80s HP Filter and LP Filter couldn't be turned off and it affects the sub frequencies and the high frequency roll-off. Why people say Solid State Logic Console is a punchy Mixing Console. 12db/oct VS 18db/oct. Why dbVU Scale and VU Meter show so strange values in comparison to a DAW PPM meter. Even without Compression you can color the sound with kind of two enhancers. What harmonics content of these enhancers. Expander/Gate Attack Time issue and the opinion of Andy Wallace which is not suitable for most of your mixes and why. Difference between Expander and Gate. Short Attack time and Long Attack Time Influencing the Transient of Instruments and Drums. Comparison to UAD SSL 4000 E Channel Strip. We will mention Brainworx bx_console SSL 9000 J. What the Shelve Filter is somehow related to the Pultec EQ and how George Martin and Abbey Road have something to do with it. What Tolerance is and how Brainworx TMT tricked most of you. Why TMT is not as big thing as they try to show it. Why some of this concepts are against real Audio Engineering. We will check Waves SSL EV2 Channel Strip to compare it to bx_console. How to choose the number of a channel in the TMT algorithm. How to use a Dynamic Side-Chain. Headroom, clipping, dbFS Full Scale, VU Meter calibration and more.

@@AndrewZeleno1 Thank you for the amazing content. Unlike the other big Audio Engineering channels, you are giving great in depth technical explanations. The other channels seemingly morphed into just marketing platforms for plugin manufacturers. Pushing product like it's going to be a quick fix for a lack of skill. And honestly I became sick and tired of that!

Just recently started watching your videos , I was a bit sceptical as how legit you advice was to be honest, but I watched you guitar tone video and it was genuine game changer , I've had a constant problem of getting electric guitars to work in my songs, they are either too muddy or harsh and I can't hear the bass and the snare etc, straight away I tried out what you said and the guitars sounds great even unmixed and the bass and snare and are way more present and clear now, thanks! hopefully I can do your course sometime when I am not so broke haha.

This was, as always, a really great video from you! I think TMT is nice on stereo instances to create a little separation between left amd right with the tolerances, never understood it for mono or the randomization function though (unless maybe for people who mix with their eyes and by numbers from "tutorials" that say things like "boost kicks at 80hz" and not with their ears...)

The whole THD thing/input saturation gain thing not working when EQ/comp is not engaged is something that I started observing a few months ago... I kinda thought I was crazy. Glad you've pointed this out. You've also answered some questions I had about brown vs black knobs at @27:30. Great vid! I have one remaining question though: Are the filters cutoff frequencies at the frequencies that they say that they are at in the plug-in? Even in the black mode I feel like like they don't attenuate as much as a digital EQ's filter of the same order, at the same cutoff frequency. As an example, when using the LPF, I feel like I always have to hike up the SSL filter higher than the respective digital filter, regardless of the channel that I'm on.

Hmmm... and what is the reason of using gate on electronic drums? Gate is mostly used on acoustic drums, therefore setting of slow attack by default looks quite reasonable.
