For those who don't know, the Dutch FA has issued a new rule stating that if objects are thrown at players from the stands, the game will be suspended. This was a response after Davy Klaassen was hit with a lighter in De Klassieker about a week ago, but other incidents related to football fans also contributed to this.

Ground hopper, very surprised in Europe how flares, rockets and fireworks are allowed in the ground. Just not allowed here in the UK!! Very heavy penalties. As for drinking alcohol etc, it is OK here in small amounts but if you are drink or heavily in drink again heavy penalties if you try and get in the grounds. The courts here hand out football banning orders like confetti. That will mean not admittance to any designated sports ground. That is football, rugby, rocket etc.

Obliged for your vid. Each club has it's own history. Ironically you have your answer to the Mcr. City v Munchen game right there in Breda. British clubs had problems with safety and enforced all-seater stadia. Pyrotechniics and flags with poles banned. Sorry it affects the atmosphere but safety comes first. Decibels reduced. Secondly the history of clubs are different. There is another club in Mcr, I understand, with a Dutch guy in charge. Different histories. There are exceptions but City have more middle-class and families attending the games, as a proportion than the other team. Thirdly at the old stadium, Maine Road, along one side of the ground was the huge Kippax. A covered shed, all-standing, cheap, and was populated almost entirely by males in their teens and 20's. It was noisy, as noisy as anywhere. Almost frightening and gloomy. The noisiest fans have nowhere to congregate at the new stadium but are dispersed around the stadium. Some pyros do make it around the stadium but are frowned upon. Also the government has relaxed safety rules a little where under strict rules, safe-standing, (foldable seats,) are allowed depending on the local council's permission. A handful of clubs were allowed to be guinea-pigs. City are one. They are being trialled in small sections. City fans (some of them😉) miss the Kippax. As a result the club expect to enlarge behind one goal which has not been expanded. This includes a huge single section. It should be ready in 2 years. A lot depends on the price of tickets. If they can match the Kippax it should make a difference. Dank U Well!
