From this angle it looked like Seminole caught up and passed Columbus the last couple of yards, but apparently the dive propelled Columbus to the win!

Props to Columbus' freshman (4th leg) who put on the afterburners with about 150 meters to go. He must also be a mensa student.

That was an awesome and amazing race…. The second league from Seminole is what put them in position…. He came from about 7th to 2nd

Columbus had some track eaters in the beginning too tbh. That last guy gave it his whole soul it the first 2 just looked like they were blazing to me.

track is my favourite spots to watch my dad is a big fan. I do track I ran the 4 4 to it is very fun . look at them go they are fast.

if you slow mo the video you actually see that the columbus gets their body over the line first and seminole jumps straight up before getting any torso over the line

Columbas directed its body closeer to the ground and thus less distance foe the toroso to cross the line; letting gravity + their momentum carry them over. Excellent dive finish imo. All that counts is that you’re first over the line and colombus had the heart to do it. Both ran excellent races nonetheless

for florida, there are two heats at the state championship. Heat 2 being the 8 regional team qualifiers

I am really not a fan of the 'dive' over the line brigade - hard to tell if this was a dive or a genuine fall, but that guy looked 'tighter' than a heart attack...

He just sprinted 400m as fast as he could possibly run it. They have actually had people to die from doing the same thing he just did or be assisted off the track and into an ambulance and rushed to the hospital.

I'm not buying Columbus win. No way. Stop the video and look at their feet relative to the painted numbers and the finish line Half the people that interpret the photo finish have no idea what they're doing. Show the photo finish shot. Something's wrong here.
